We're in the process of installing 1000sq ft of prefinished oak flooring so I bought the Bostitch MIIIFOOT-KIT Factory Finish Flooring Adaptor to use with the Bostitch MIIIFN 1-1/2- to 2-Inch Pneumatic Flooring Nailer which I was ordering. It turns out that the nailer already includes the factory-finished flooring adapter. If you already own the Bostitch MIIIFN 1-1/2- to 2-Inch Pneumatic Flooring Nailer or the Bostitch MIIIFS 1-1/2-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Floor Stapler AND do not have this adapter, then you will want to order this kit for installing factory-finished flooring.If you are buying a new Bostitch MIIIFN 1-1/2- to 2-Inch Pneumatic Flooring Nailer or Bostitch MIIIFS 1-1/2-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic Floor Stapler check the item description carefully as this kit may already be included.

This kit has a feature that tracks the outer tip of the wood tongue. Consequently you cannot adjust the depth of the nail set with shims. If your wood supplier has the exact tongue length this kit is looking for your good to go. If not your sol.Also on 3/4 thick wood, the feature that tracks the tongue isn't overlapping it by much so be careful else it will slip off and put a nail in the face of the wood. This is less of a problem on 1/2 inch wood.

We are novices who have undertaken the installation of about 2000 sf of prefinished 3/4" Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors over 3/4" plywood underlayment.Given that, the foot-kit makes it easier on the back during use. It is designed to slide the nailer nicely across the hardwood without having to lift the nailer and without damaging the floor. The foot is notched so that you visually insure that the nailer is set in the proper position. We are pleased that this product does what it says it will do.
