I have a Bostictch S3297 stapler that worked very well with the old Stanley Bostitich staples made in Germany (SB97-1G). As soon as I switched to the Bostitch staples made in China (SB97-1GLS) I experienced staples that would jam up on the top of the tongue and would not even penetrate the flooring 80% or more of the time.

I found another brand made in Germany and I had no jams whatsoever. Apparently the China staples are very poor and inferior metal compared to the German made staples. Unfortunately, all you can get from Bostitch are the China made staples. I called Bostitch and they did not have a solution or an apology.

My stapler works flawlessly with the German made staples again!

I read some of the other reviews where they said not to purchase staples made in China. I thought I had purchased quality staples made elsewhere because they were the expensive Bostitch brand.Wrong!These staples were from China and are crap. I experienced a huge amount of misfires which slowed the job down considerably. Remember, all the mangled staples must be removed as they prevent the next piece of flooring from being installed. I had to carefully pry the bad staple up with a small screwdriver and then grab it with a pair of vice grips and pull it slowly out. Found some staples made in Germany and had no problems with these. To add insult to injury, they were also slightly cheaper.

These are the most expensive staples out there and I only paid the higher price because others who had purchased cheaper staples commented that their cheap staples arrived all broken up as a result of poor packaging. Well guess what, these expensive staples arrived in the the same condition. I don't think there was one stick that was longer than 10 staples when they arrived. When you pack a five lb. box of glued together steel pieces and a heavy staple set in a big box (I could have put at least a dozen boxes of staples in it) with one air pillow to keep things from moving around the result is predictable. The air pollow deflates and the staple box rattles around until it breaks open, spilling all the staples out so the the staple set can beat the sticks into little pieces. On a positive note my money was immediately refunded and Amazon issued a pickup tag so I was not out any money for returning them. The biggest issue I'm facing is that local stores don't carry this size staple so you are stuck with the web for replacements. Beware!! When you purchase your stapler make sure the type of staples it uses are locally available.

Not too much to say but that these staples are great. My living room now looks perfect and it's all thanks to these staples holding my hardwood down.

These staples worked without flaw in my new pneumatic stapler. They were just right for the 3/8" floor and there never was a jam.

This product is now made in China and I find it inferior to the same product from Bostitch that was previously made in USA.
