Product Description

Modern elegance. Legendary performance. In an elegant fusion of technology, performance, and stylish good looks, our new Reflection Series speakers deliver clean, balanced sound worthy of our thirty-year heritage. Performance is the monarch of this line’s feature set. Cutting-edge drivers and rigorously designed crossovers are enclosed in an ultra rigid, internally braced cabinet featuring a scratch-resistant high gloss finish that will endure years of play. That means these speakers will make themselves at home in any environment from living room to home theater. And after three decades of perfecting the Boston Sound, you can be sure these speakers will sound every bit as good they look. The RS244C is the low-profile Reflection Series center channel speaker. It’s designed as a perfect acoustic match for the RS344 floorstanding speaker, and is tonally balanced for all the other RS models. Quadruple 4-inch long throw Deep Channel Design (DCD) woofers coupled with a new Extended Wide Bandwidth (EWB) tweeter deliver superb performance. The woofers employ Fiber Ceramic Copolymer Material (FCCM) cones providing the rigidity and low mass required producing an exceptionally smooth response. The new EWB tweeter follows the design found in our flagship VS Series Super Wide Bandwidth tweeter. The tweeter’s diaphragm is terminated to a metal plug at its center (creating a dimple)—stabilizing linear motion to significantly lower distortion while improving dispersion, power handling, and clarity. Multichannel movie soundtracks ask a great deal of a theater system’s center-channel loudspeaker, and the RS 244C center-channel is engineered to handle the workload effortlessly. Don’t let the refined good looks of the RS 244C center-channel fool you. It’s one of the hardest-working loudspeakers in show business.
