I received an amazing deal - probably because of the bright red color. I replaced my old Radio Shack outdoor speakers that were behind my grill with these. Now I have NO break in sound as I leave the back deck, turn the corner and walk to the grill. These speakers match the larger back deck speakers in sound and resonance and fill the space nicely with a better sound quality than I expected.

I ordered two pair of speakers. The speakers provide good sound in a small package. The mounting system is very good: simple, secure, and highly flexible. Someone put a lot of thought into this. The speakers are, however, larger than they appear in the product photo. Look at the dimensions before ordering. The size was one of the reasons I ordered this brand. I saw/heard a pair of these in a restaurant and was impressed with the sound. There is a surprising amount of clean mid bass for such a small enclosure.

I was disappointed for two reasons. First, it was obvious that 2 of the 4 speakers I ordered were returned by a previous buyer (speakers out of packing bags, documents out of bags, serial numbers not sequential etc) and the speakers were not advertised as returns. Second, one of the two brand new speakers (serial numbers = sequential) was missing the Boston Acoustics logo on the front.

Two speakers are mounted outside on a deck, two are mounted in our kitchen. My wife is OK with the sound but not with the red color. I will have to paint them.

I really like these speakers - I have a pair in my bathroom hooked up to a Sonos music system, and for being the first experience I have owning Boston Acoustics (I always buy Klipsch speakers, but their outdoor weather resistant models are about twice the retail of these) I am pleased. I am familiar with their brand, just haven't owned any prior to this pair. I would definitely recommend them, even at a price higher than they retail they are fantastic.

The installation is nice, I enjoyed the way of connection to the wall bracket (which works awesome in a corner, you can't see the bracket and it installs with two screws!), makes it look like they are floating rather than mounted and angled. They are well built, feel sturdy in your hands while you're installing them. You can use a good quality speaker wire as the banana connectors are accommodating, easy to connect.

They sound great, bathroom installation or not - although if you are installing them outdoors you may want to experiment with two pair over a large area, since sound travels more outdoors.

I got the red color to make them stand out a bit, and Amazon had them on special as well.

These are, single speakers for the price - they come shipped one per box so make sure you buy two of them to make a pair!

I've used these sitting on a shelf and now mounted on the ceiling as rear surrounds. Sound is great considering the price (on super sale for $35). These are heavy and well constructed, compare favorably to Bose 201s. Mounting system works well.

I've owned Bose 201s, Polk RTi4, Infinity Qa, Klipsch Heresy, etc.

Super high quality construction. Killer mounting. Sound great. Make sure to add a sub to the mix.

Buscando bocinas para exterior me encontré con estas bocinas Boston Acoustic a un precio increíblemente bajo por su color rojo. Se las conecte a un mini amplificador Pyle PCAU44 y me quede sorprendido con la calidad del sonido.

Leí en algunos comentarios que no daban suficiente bajo. Las mías dan excelente bajo con el amplificador Pyle que les conecte. Solamente hay que graduar los bajos un poco más alto que los agudos en el amplificador y problema resuelto.

I received two of these today to replace a blown Radio Shack outdoor speaker. These are amazing quality and a great buy. The bright red is kinda cool.

I bought these as I noticed (for a while) the 'red' ones were significantly cheaper, like some kind of typo or something. I snagged 4, and although I would have desired white (like most people) the white was full list (ninty nine each) and other colrs were slightly cheaper, and red was crazy cheap at thirty five dollars each shipped! I JUMPED at the deal and snagged 4 hoping it would go through as I guessed it was a mistake somewhere and might get 'fixed'. I got them in and loved them. I have to paint them someday, but for $135 vs $396 I think it was worth it! I found these as I had snagged teh subwoofer on a goldbox deal (or deal of the day), and was impressed with that unit, hence found these. As far as reviewing them: I don't run the surround sound too loud (unless I am alone in the house!) and have never heard anything but smooth sound at any level. I have a 5.1 Yamaha system driving these for the LF, RF, LR, RR. They mount nice and looking at the speaker directly (with the grill off) it is a nice rubber surround cone with a well mounted tweater above it. I have nothing to compare it to, and am not an audiofile, but I dare say NOTHING can compare for the price I paid, and I think they would be worth what they are going for now if I had to do it again. The nice thing is you won't be forced to buy red like I was! The subwoofer is great, and I am very happy with that too.
