I bought these about two months ago & for the size, they make a big sound! Now, let's be real here. They don't sound as detailed or loud as floor standing speakers, or larger bookshelf speakers. Whithout the sub, they sound pretty small. That's because they are. But if you want some great looking & sounding surround sound system in a box, this is a great choice. I have this in a small living room set up. I had my Sony STR-DH710 7.1-channel A/V Receiver with 6 HD Inputs [3D Compatible]calibrate the speakers & viola! Excellent home theater sound. I plugged my iPod into it & listen to a wide variety of music, from MF Doom to Leonard Cohen & points in between. To my ears sound better than Bose (I think they're overrated, anyway).
They're small enough to not be an eyesore to most girlfriends/ wives. A BIG plus!

After shopping, and shopping, and shopping for a surround sound speakers in WHITE, (most of them are black) I settled on this Boston Acoustic system. I think the sound quality is quite good and they are sooo much cheaper than the Bose systems. Plus, they come with really nice brackets which give you several mounting options. Most speaker systems don't come with brackets and you'll end up spending another $50-$100 for them, and they're not even all that good. These brackets include a "ball and socket" type mount and wall and corner mounting options. Really nice quality and they look great. My only complaint is I wish the subwoofer was smaller. But they're all pretty large these days. For my purposes, which is listening to music and movies, these speakers sound great and are barely noticed in a room. They are very good looking and nicely built.

Using with a Onkyo SR602 receiver. We have the 5 speakers mounted on the ceiling; woofer is nice. Good sound quality. Plenty of volume. Recommended for 5.1 surround sound deployments.
Using with a 3D TV - nice. Matches decor of the room.

It's a nicely designed set of speakers plus subwoofer. I like the fact that they had them available in white, as the little guys sit unobtrusively in the room. The subwoofer kicks in well and gives me more control than my last 5.1 set up which were a set of Mission M-Cubes which died after a few years. I'm actually happier since these sound better and the subwoofer is a little smaller for the room. All in all, a good product.

For anyone that is looking for a 5.1 speaker setup in WHITE this is it. I have had this system hooked to my Pioneer VSX-1020 for about a year and couldn't be happier. The sub provides strong bass, and the small satellites are inconspicuous and provide solid sound clarity. I ended up replacing the white mid channel satellite with a black Bose VSX-10 for asthetic reasons and lost some sound quality, so now looking to replace the Bose with a black satellite instead. The flexible mounting brackets give you the ability to direct the sound right where you want them.
