Soundbar Enhances Your TV's Audio

The TVee Model 30 offers a plug-and-play solution for televisions that have less-than-spectacular sound. The system is self-powered, meaning it does not require a separate receiver or amplifier. Simply hook it up to enjoy powerful, dynamic audio from your favorite TV shows, movies, games, and music.

Hassle-Free Installation and Remote Control Operation

Installation is easy with the TVee Model 30. Connect the soundbar to your HDTV with just one cable (included), and then mount the soundbar on any wall using its two integrated keyhole wall mounts--no need for separate brackets. For further convenience, the subwoofer is wireless, so you can place it anywhere in your room.

To keep things simple, the soundbar uses your television's remote control for operation. In three easy steps, program your remote to adjust volume, power, input, and music/movie mode.

Digitally Optimized, Realistic Audio

The TVee Model 30 features a digital optical input for decoding Dolby Digital audio content. When used with Boston's Digitally Optimized Virtual Surround processing, the soundbar's three 3-1/2-inch drivers and three 3/4-inch dome tweeters produce audio that's especially crisp and true to life. In addition, the 7-inch wireless subwoofer delivers deep, powerful distortion-free bass thanks to BassTrac circuitry.

Dedicated Movie and Music Modes

Choose from TVee Model 30's two listening modes to get the best audio experience. Movie mode offers enveloping surround sound that emulates a movie theater environment. Music mode produces concert-quality music playback appropriate for casual listening. Either mode can be used for any type of input or audio.

Connect Bluetooth and Other Portable Media Devices

Use the Bluetooth wireless input to receive music or audio from a compatible Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone or computer (with Bluetooth A2DP capability). You can also use the 3.5-millimeter auxiliary input on the soundbar's side panel to connect a variety of portable media devices, such as iPods or other MP3 players.

The Boston Acoustics TVee Model 30 virtual surround sound speaker system is backed by a limited five-year warranty.

The only thing that took a little time was programming the remote.

We called Boston Acoustics tech support 3 times but they were not helpful, basically saying to unplug it for 24 hours and try again!
All in all, I highly doubt there is a better sounding soundbar on the market.

Ok, where do I start? I have been looking for a sound bar for my bedroom for about a year now. I have read reviews, here, on CNet, av forums, magazines, etc... But I was not able to come to terms with one that satisfied my tastes. I was just about sold on the ZVox575 and literally about to pull the trigger on it when the TVee30 popped up in my searches. I started to research it and was kinda bummed that there wasn't a lot there on it, but that which I was able to find was very positive. Now that ZVox575 had some very very good reviews as well but, it's seriously butt ugly, I mean ugly like it looks like a cheap wood box. So I took a leap and based on pure gut instinct I clicked add to cart and then hit buy.

Now I used the standard shipping, but it got to me in 3 days! Excellent plus :)

From opening the box to full setup I counted 25 minutes, it is so easy and intuitive (except for the remote, more on that later). the packaging as described in an earlier review is amazing, sturdy and 100% recyclable, another plus! Now granted I am very technically adept and that did help out, but I can't see how someone would have any issues with the simple to follow instructions. I connected all the cables, fired up the speakers and in about 3 minutes was streaming music from my iPad, as a matter of fact I am now sitting in my living room (about 25 feet away) streaming Pink Floyd from my iPad as I type this. I love it!

The remote did take a little finesse... While the instructions are clear, remember to hit the buttons slowly and make sure that the
remote is in line of sight (about 10 inches away, not closer). Once I mapped all of the buttons on the speaker bar to my remote it
was pure joy.

We have a very open room and my wife was constantly complaining about not being able to hear the dialog from our Sony KDL 52V5100 (50 inch LCD flat panel) which admittedly has a fantastic picture but lacking sound. We needed something that would provide clear dialog and did not ADD to the confusion of remote controls. If you are looking for "blow your mind" surround sound, keep looking. I doubt ANY sound bar will make you happy. But if you are looking to vastly improve over your existing TV speakers and add a good solid bottom end you cannot do better than this unit for the price.

Total set up time from when I got the box cutter out until the entire unit was connected, programmed and working was under 20 minutes.

The unit just works. And it learns your existing remote control for volume up/down, mute, input select and power on.

Sound clarity due to a dedicated center channel speaker is fantastic. The sub is wireless and can be placed anywhere within range of an electrical outlet. It communicates via blue tooth to the sound bar. One optical cable (which is included!) connection to your TV and that's it.

Boston Acoustics has always made excellent sounding stuff so I was not surprised by this units performance. But at this price point the build quality is fantastic.

I was concerned when it showed up in its original box only and was not double boxed. No need to worry it is packed extremely well with lots of extra cardboard (no Styrofoam or foam padding that ends up in the land fill) so it call all be easily recycled.

For a second room, or small apartment or bedroom I would highly recommend this unit. It has very good range and dynamics so it can play loud.

First let me start by saying that the sound is incredible. I love the soundbar. Great sound, easy set up and very attractive.

Three months after owning it the soundbar stopped working. It was a new unit, not used, refurbished etc. I contacted them and they wanted me to ship it back. It cost 78 dollars to ship it. About two weeks later I received it back. It was not my original equipment. The grid had a bad smudge/stain that took quite some time to make it presentable. The subwoofer returned to them had non of the 'feet' permanently glued on. The one mailed back to me had the 'feet' glued on to bottom. It is a refurbished unit. Miy subwoofer was always placed on the side. On top of that, it has a ding on the bottom. Mine was mailed in pristine shape.

I contacted them immediately and explained that the equipment I received was refurbished when I mailed brand new, not scratch and dent or refurbished equipment. It took them several months and several phone calls and emails for them to decide to replace the subwoofer. I received an email with a Fedex label. I called and asked how long it would take to get my subwoofer back once it's returned. They said 2 to 4 weeks!! I have been dealing with this since May, yes May! I expressed my shock that it could take 4 weeks and the person didn't seem to care.

I personally think this is poor customer service. I plan to keep the damaged subwoofer at this point. Buy at your own risk! If I was to do it over, I'd buy a different system. I'd take a lower quality one or pay more for a better or comparable one with better customer service. It's simply a great product attached to poor personnel.

Update 7/4/12

I contacted Boston Acoustics yet again on 7/2/12.
