First I'd like to say that I got these speakers for almost half the price that they were listed on another site. Had them installed in my rear deck a few weeks later, and I must say I can definitely tell the difference from my previous factory speakers. These speakers work great, especially if you have an aftermarket radio. I'm planning on replacing my door speakers next.

Recently purchased these to replace the 6x9's in the door of my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. Although this site and Crutchfield say that these speakers will fit, they do not. Bottom side of speaker begins to widen quickly from mounting hole unlike the factory speak which stay slimmer longer. So the whole cut in the door to mount these is just too small. I did not want to cut out my door so I just mounted them as best as they would fit where I could still get all 4 screws to catch. This did result in slight twisting of the speaker frame and the woofer part of speaker itself. That being said they do sound very good. Many times crisper and clearer than the factory and with the factory radio as high as it can be turned up no distortion. Even with installation not ideal, for the price of these speakers and the quality of sound over the factory speakers I would do it again. Only giving 4 stars because if I had known about the instalation problem I would have just purchased the 6.5" speakers with the brackets to mount in my doors.

Bought these to go in wifes car, who would listen to tin cans and would not know the difference. Running 3 way JBL in front and the BA's rear. Dampened front doors, rear shelf and under back seat. Running all these off JVC headunit and when I cranked them up you can believe how good they all sounded. Wife came out and thought I had my car cranked and was very surprised to find out it was her Civic! She commented how good it sounded and promptly took a spin to listen.She came back shaking her head. If you need a pair of 6x9's these are it. Running off headunit I could not believe bass that it produced. Wish I had place for them in my car with my amp running them I am sure they would run you out of the car.

My speakers were dying and starting to fuzz so i decided to invest in these, im glad i did. They are well made, and sound great, i would HIGHLY recommend upgrading your stereo in older vehicles (i bought aftermarket stereo for my 98 civic and the speakers sound a whole lot better!). Now it's important to note these are not very powerful speakers, they can play decently high, but when i crank them up really high i find myself lowering the volume because they start to get distorted. But overall, i am happy with these, perfect OEM replacement for the average music person. (I also bought the matching S65's for the front).

Good tight punchy bass. Install was drop in go, no extra work there. great for highs and for price good upgrade over the stock. If you want to listen to alot of rap w/o a sub then these prob arent for you. These give a theater performance good for sound staging. Worth every penny.

I bought a pair of these Boston speakers thinking they would be good for the money. I hate to say I am disappointed. Granted they were reasonably priced. I was just expecting a better sound.

I was told these would be great to run off my Sony DSX-S100 deck without an amp. As soon as they were hooked up, they crackled, popped and fried, never to utter a sound again. This isn't my first rodeo as I've installed many stereo systems and had all the proper wires identified and double checked prior to installation. Boston used to be a quality name, but like most companies, they've moved their manufacturing over to China and it's painfully evident. What an absolute disappointment.
