5.0 out of 5 stars A Welcome Change from the New York Times Sunday Crosswords, January 14, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Boston Globe Sunday Crossword Puzzles, Volume 15 (Spiral-bound)
I have been doing the New York Times crossword puzzles for years and welcomed the changes made when Will Shortz took them over. But I have found in recent times that I can more or less think along the same lines as the NYT's puzzle constructors and what should be tough puzzles have become easier for me to do. (The learning curve was steep, but I finally got there!)

With both the Boston Globe and Washington Post puzzles I'm finding that there is just enough difference brought to them by the unique approaches of their constructors that it makes the puzzle-solving new and exciting again. And for this reason I can heartily recommend this and a couple of the previous volumes of the Globe's sunday puzzles. Worth every penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pun-filled Crosswords, March 29, 2009
This review is from: The Boston Globe Sunday Crossword Puzzles, Volume 15 (Spiral-bound)
These crossword puzzles are "pun-based" which can be fun. But, I've found that it gets old pretty fast. Also the clues seem to be repetitious from puzzle to puzzle. Or maybe it's just that I tend to do two or three puzzles right in a row and that's why I noticed the repeating clues.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite but certainly not for the novice., December 5, 2011
This review is from: The Boston Globe Sunday Crossword Puzzles, Volume 15 (Spiral-bound)
Thought these puzzles to be more difficult than the Chicago Tribune Sunday puzzles (which are my favorites) but more tricky than necessary. Would enjoy them much better if I were to use crossword dictionaries but really don't like to spend more than an hour or so to complete a puzzle.
