I've been having a blast with the puzzles in this book. The Boston Globe puzzles are not quite as difficult as the Times ones, but they sure are hilarious. Hook chose puzzles that were challenging, and funny. I must be honest and say that there were some definate head scratchers in here! Good coolection; time well spent.

I came across the puzzles from the Boston Globe by chance but I am now completely "hooked". Rathvon, Cox and Hook write some of the most entertaining puzzles I have found. A serious solver can, with a little patience, unravel these upper level challenges and gain skill from doing so. They aren't easy but they invite you to keep working toward their amusing solutions. I like a real test but I detest puzzles that insert hopelessly cryptic, archaic and obscure clues. The Globe makes you think but doesn't frustrate the solver. They create challenging, yet doable puzzles that are humorous and fun.
