If you want to pass your exams get the Dearborn series, I failed my 63 using this book and barely passed my 6. The real test closely mirrors dearborn material. If you can pass the practice exams on dearborn then you will pass the real thing. Dearborn forces you to understand the concepts not just definitions...... This book was a waste......

This book is very short, half of the book are practice questions.
If you want details, dont get this book.

Short but to the point,
This review is from: The Boston Institute of Finance Mutual Fund Advisor Course: Series 6 and Series 63 Test Prep (Paperback)
This book is short, not a lot of material to study, but it also tends to shove a lot of info into one page, so you find yourself spending a lot of time going back over material and re-reading so that you can actually answer the questions on each practice test, which thankfully, there are plenty of. If not fot the many, and seemingly helpful practice tests, this book would get three stars in my opinion. But it is a very good book if you are on a budget.

Review of Boston Inst. of Finance,
This review is from: The Boston Institute of Finance Mutual Fund Advisor Course: Series 6 and Series 63 Test Prep (Paperback)
This book was a good guide for studying for the Series 6 and 63. The material was direct and straight to the point (not much fluf). The practice tests were very helpful and some of the questions were on the actual NASD exam. I have only taken the Series 63 so far. I passed on my first attempt. I would recommend this book for anyone taking these tests, but you probably should use additional study material as well.

This product is a sufficient book to help study for the series 6 and series 63 exam. I would recommend it for a inexpensive alternative.

Sections are quick and easy if that's your thing but the review questions at the end of the sections are nothing like the ones on the test so do not fall in love with your scores. It is best used in conjunction with a more comprehensive study guide.

Alright,
This review is from: The Boston Institute of Finance Mutual Fund Advisor Course: Series 6 and Series 63 Test Prep (Paperback)
I read the whole section on the series 6 part and completed all the tests. I was feeling good about taking the test because I was completing the tests on the book with ease. After taking my Series 6 I saw that the book did not cover alot of the things the test had.. I was really Disappointed now I have to go buy A Kaplan Book if anyone wants to buy my books email me.
