5.0 out of 5 stars Is there anybody else...., April 8, 2003
This review is from: Boston Massachusetts (Audio CD)
... besides me who is astounded that this disk is not available? Maybe it's because I live in Boston (and did when this album came out, sometime around 1986), but at least two songs on this album were hits that got major airtime here in Boston ("Don't Run Wild" and "I Still Want You"). Anyway, great, landmark album of memorable, rockin' garage-tinged pop. There must be someone else out there who remembers this album? Let's hope it's available soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still holds up after all these years, November 23, 2003
This review is from: Boston Massachusetts (Audio CD)
This is a fabulous album of garage rock. The Del Fuegos were the Zanes brothers, Don and Warren, along with Woody Glessmann on drums and Tom Lloyd on bass. Released in 1985 this was their first national album, and it still holds up next to the neo-punk of the new millennium. Almost every song of the ten is a keeper. These guys came to my attention via a Miller beer TV ad series that featured about-to-break-out acts in various local music scenes. Anyone else remember that? "Don't Run Wild" is the big hit, but the entire album is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't get much better!, June 21, 2004

I have loved the Del Fuegos ever since I 1st heard I Still Want You. They were unbelievable 'live' and it's a crying shame that they split up. Dan Zanes is doing some great stuff right now with 'family' oriiented music (listen to Night Time) and Warren Zanes has an album out called Memory Girls which is sensational. But this was the album for me. It has all the raw energy that all the best and essential rock and roll records have and there isn't a bad song. If anyone out there has even a mild curiosity about these guys then I recommend to them 100% this album. The other Fuegos albums are great especially The Longest Day & Smoking In The Fields but this is THE one to have. Check out I Still Want You, Shame and Don't Run Wild. Classics. Anyone for a petition to get them back together and I mean the Del Fuegos line up from the 1st 3 albums with Warren & Woody on board.
Fantastic!

This is one kickin' butt band from the 80s when the term "Alternative" was just born. You gotta have this in your stash if you want some good Rock-N-Roll.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most underated albums EVER, January 23, 2012

Man, this is a great CD as every damn track is just high quality stuff. Don't run wild was the first song I ever heard from the DFs but this album is SO much more than that song. The ballads on this CD are absolutely great. I Still Want u, Coupe Da Ville, Fade to Blue are all classics.

Night on the town, Its Alright and really this whole CD is just really high quality.

Criminally underated album right here. If you can get your hands on it do so.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta Agree, April 19, 2010
This review is from: Boston Mass (Audio CD)
I gotta agree with those other reviews I've read about this group/album. I bought this album after hearing a couple hits on a radio station in west Texas back in the 80s! It is fantastic. But the true test is my 15 yo boys. They also love it and pushed me to find the other Del Fuegos albums (not easy...thank God for Amazon). Also terrific but I'd have to say Boston Mass is still the best.

Really wish they were still around.
