Amazon Verified Purchase

This fan is the perfect size for my needs, but it was a disappointment. First, as I have informed Amazon, the image on this page (at this writing) differs from the fan that was shipped. The image shows a fan with a different grill and base. Most important, the fan I received will not tilt to a usable position, as shown in the image, and as my old fan does. The only available position other than facing down is more or less straight up, which defeats the purpose of a desk fan as far as I'm concerned.

I needed a small, quiet fan to sit on my desk and keep a localized breeze going in my office. This fan looked perfect. I was shipped what is in the picture that Amazon displays but the other reviewer is quite right: The fan will not tilt at an angle to effectively cool someone sitting at desk height. It blows across the hands but doesn't tilt any higher than that. If you need a breeze across your shoulders and face, you're out of luck with this fan. Also, the breeze is very weak on both levels. This little guy has an odd effect in that the higher setting has the same force but is simply a bit louder. Not being an aerodynamic engineer, I can't explain it. But there we are. I would not buy this fan again -- certainly not at this price.
