I have been using this sharpener all year and it is great! It is tough and works well on all sizes and types of pencil. The weight is good too, as it keeps it anchored on the table. As far as I am concerned, anything that lasts more than a week in a middle school classroom is worthy of the highest praise possible!

Okay so I've only had this in the classroom for 1 day, but it is quiet, it does a good job, my students are respectful of it, and it sharpens!

For any middle school teachers, you know if one has to sharpen a pencil they all do, since my hand sharpener broke, they have wanted to go every other classroom to sharpen. I love it!

I have not found it difficult to line up the pencil, it sharpens quickly, and easily. The container for shavings is not full after a full days use. The price was EXTREMELY good, it arrived in a very timely fashion.

I bought this for heavy duty classroom use. It worked well for one semester, but then began making clacking noises and jamming up constantly. The motor is still ok, but the cutter mechanism seems to be of poor quality.

I always seem to have the worst luck with staplers and pencil sharpeners but I'm really satisfied with this one. The motor stops when the pencil is sharp and it's been perfect every time. The cup is easy to remove to empty but stays on nicely while in use.

This sharpener does a good job but it's oddly hard to get the pencil lined up just right. Even with the adjustable guide. It's annoying.

I own two of these and was able to get one year of reasonable classroom use out of them. In the end they would only polish the pencils not sharpen them, very frustrating.

Last year I was given this pencil sharpener for my class and it worked fantastically. This year I have had to return two new ones, because they both did not sharpen the pencils after a few days. The quality is very inconsistent.

This is the best pencil sharpener that you can buy for the money. It is efficient and easy to use. However, when I wrote to the seller and stated that it did not suit my needs and I wanted to send it back, they did not have the courtesy to respond. Nowhere in the description did it state that it would not sharpen colored nor pastel pencils. It did state this in the instruction booklet. This was the reason that I needed an automatic pencil sharpener so obviously, this did not fit my needs. I explained this fully in my email to the seller.

At first, I loved this pencil sharpener. It was quiet and fast and worked well. But after only a few months, it started leaking shavings everywhere and it got harder and harder to line up the pencil so that it would sharpen evenly. Most pencils started coming out sharp only on one side (which means it's unusable). Also, I bought this sharpener because it was supposed to be heavy-duty, a "school" sharpener, and it's almost useless now after six months of moderate use. The old, cheap sharpener I had lasted two years! Don't waste your money on this thing.

My teacher bought one of these for us to use and it lasted about 2 weeks befor the cutter thing came loose. He fixed it but now it just makes the pencils crooked and wont sharpen them. He used fifty dollars of our taxpayers money to buy this thing and it wont work.
