11/2013 UPDATE: just wear them for a week and they turn into wonderful little cloud puffs on your feet! So comfortable!. So expect (initially) to be a little soar after being on your feet all day. I would say that has been the biggest drawback so far. But again, I may just need to break them in. I think I will provide an update in a few weeks on how they fit. Other than that the construction of the shoes seem durable and the leather is very soft. You can walk in them right out of the box. Are they worth the money? I say yes. They are very classy looking but with a casual flair - so they're not over-the-top ostentatious like the Bostonian Alito Oxfords.
I have had the tan pair of shoes for quite a while now, and I absolutely love them! I have only one complaint, the soft sole. It wears so quickly. I usually swap between these and a pair of just-as-comfortable Sperry Mako's (actually I can't tell a difference between the two shoes! They are equally comfortable!) However, there are a couple of things that I do to them to keep them in tip-top shape, first I keep them the shoe stretchers in them when not use.Read more ›
All in all, I don't think they're the best shoes ever, but I'm happy with the value and will definitely be getting good use out of them.
They fit well, though my feet run smaller and narrower than most. The break in process for them was painful, after my first day wearing them I had a few blisters and cuts on my ankles where the sides of the shoe were bending & pushing in as I stepped. I nearly returned them then, but gave them a few more days with some bandages for padding on my ankles and they were fine after a week. Now they fit and feel great, and those sides that had caused me pain are holding shape very well.
The biggest downside though is that in the last few months they developed a squeak. Every step I take there's an audible noise as I bend my foot. It has gotten worse over time to the point now I regret whenever I put them on because its embarrassing to walk around making so much noise.
Compared to some more much expensive, wood soled full leather wingtips I have (Kenneth Cole Hurry Think's), these Bostonian's have held their shape and still look like they are in better shape. However, I cannot wear them anymore due to the noise, and I've had far more time with the Kenneth Cole's and aside from visible leather wear, those remain more functional.
Oh and the shoes. These are very good quality. The sole is stitched on and can be replaced in the future. Nice finish, creative and just right for jeans and a sport jacket which is my preferred daily. The interior is a nice microfiber suede. The uppers and excellent quality leather. The soles are fairly cushiony for all day wear. Perhaps my favorite pair ever.

Would have given it 5 stars - but after heavy use the rubber glue is coming off where the toes bend. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Anurag Pandit

I bought these for my husband as a gift. He said that they were a little bigger than expected, and the bottoms are kind of slick, but overall, a great shoe.Published 6 months ago by JV
Love these as daily office shoes. They fit true to size at first, but the leather has stretched over the year that I've had these and one of the laces broke. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Rutgers Student
Despite what other reviews are saying about the color and the material, they aren't a bad pair of shoes for casual wear. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Earl Grey
