This candy is the best and once you have it.. you will always long for it! The candy is wonderful and the rice paper that melts in your mouth is a novelty and delicious. There is a temporary tattoo with these candies. Thank you Amazon.com for making it easier to find!

I've been snacking on Botan Rice Candy since I was a little girl. My mom used to pick it up for us every time she visited the Asian grocery store. And I still have it a few times a year. This candy is delicious! Sweet like honey, but not too sweet...chewy like caramel squares, but not sticky. And the sticker is sometimes a tattoo- bonus! It's fun.

I have been eating these since I was 4 or 5. Loved them when I was in Korea. My Dad was on tour in Korea and I just fell in love with the candies that they had. It always makes me remember my childhood. Still buy them and love them still. I actually think the tattoos are a better thing that they added as the prize.

Having never tried these before, I was incredibly curious, especially after reading all of the excellent reviews. So I bought some and immediately popped one in my mouth as soon as the box came. I sat there chewing happily and was immediately struck by the odd sensation that I'd tasted one of these before. It wasn't until I was savoring the 4th one that it came to me - They tasted almost exactly like the BRACH'S® Jelly Nougats I use to devour as a child. Ahh, the memories! LOL! However, given the number of candies in the box (8), I wish it had been a bit cheaper.

I bought this over 6 months ago from an Asian food store. It is so good! It's really cool how the rice paper melts in your mouth. I gave some to my little cousins and they loved it. It's a wonderful thing to suck on and it's not very sticky either. It also comes with a sticker or a tatoo.

I started eating these as a kid and I still love them. I am not Asain, but I like foods from all over the world. These candies have a little rice paper edible wrapper. While the toys moved to stickers now the candy is still really good. It has a unique flavor and I just cannot get enough of these. They are pretty wholesome for candy. They really are a special treat. I think they are healthier than other candies. I am not sure what American kids of today would think, but if they are not used to total junk I think they would like them. These are really special. The taste is really light. They are chewy and sticky so you would not want to give them to really little kids for risk of choaking. I do think they would be healthier than other things and might be nice for a holiday special gift or other special occasion for an older child. Someone who is age 5 and up would be perfect.

That's right, I just opened one up and got a temporary tattoo of a Toucan no less! This ALMOST makes up for the lack of cool plastic toy, but since we'll never see the cool toy again, I'll take this over bizarre sticker any day.

I would give this candy 5 stars but sometimes when I buy it the candy is old and hard. I buy this candy usually at Safeway or QFC. It's a great price there and every Safeway and QFC in the west side of Washington state that I have been to has carried this candy in their ethnic foods area. Sometimes when you buy it the candy is really hard and stuck to the plastic wrap. You can tell that the candy has become old and it is not as good as when it is newer. When it's newer the candy is soft and chewy and melts easily in your mouth. You can easily take the rice paper off of the candy and eat it seperately for fun. When the candy is old it's really hard to seperate the rice paper. But the candy whether it is older or newer has a great lemon orange flavor. The candy is sweet but not too sweet. I love this candy, it is one of my favorite candies.

A simple sweet citrusy candy. There's only about 5 ingredients: sugar, lemon flavor, orange flavor, sweet rice, corn starch, and red coloring.

Each soft candy is wrapped with an edible somewhat novel RICE PAPER. The rice paper keeps the candy from sticking to your hands, and melts in your mouth. The box itself is easy to unwrap by pulling a tab. Inside each box, there's a sticker - sort of a prize that most kids love.

I love Botan Rice candy!! It is SO great!! :D I love it! :)
