5.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Sharon Lamm-Hartman, author, coach, educator, May 17, 2009
This was simply the most inspirational book I have ever read. It was so full of heart that I felt mine opening with each word. I actually went to a hotel one night just to have peace and quiet to finish it. Craig's honesty, simplicity and great humanitarian spirit made this book exceptional. Not only am I inspired to be a better parent to my 3 1/2 year old son but I am having my husband read this book so we can seriously consider international adoption. After reading this book, I am ready to adopt now.

I laughed, cried and went deep inside my soul. I coach people to help live their passionate calling and follow their hearts. Craig is a living demonstration of following his calling and his heart and not looking back! Truly this is the best book I have read. I have never been this moved by a book and can't wait to see it on film as I know it will be someday. Thank you Craig for being a role model and making such a difference in the world by following your heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and enlightening ... for the reader (and the author), April 20, 2009
This review is from: Both Ends Burning: My Story of Adopting Three Children from Haiti (Hardcover)
Successful, financially-set guy, gets in touch with a new dimension of himself and improves the world in the process. Easy, enjoyable read. Had me laughing, crying, feeling distraught and ultimately, hopeful ... for the family, the adopted kids and (at least a few of) the orphans of Haiti.

What a heartfelt account of a soul transforming event. Makes you want to do something about the lost children of Haiti. Very well written and paced, this book will hold your attention through laughter and tears. I only wish the book was longer, I would love to hear more about these amazing children as they grow up....hoping for the sequel!

I have read this book twice. I loved the story, the truthfulness of the author and the ability for him to let us into his intimate world. I cried and laughed through the entire book. Thank you to Mr. Juntunen for giving us such an honest account of parenthood and adoption through a father's eye.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do not pass up this incredible story!, July 8, 2009

Both Ends Burning is the most inspirational story I have ever come across! Craig holds nothing back, he allows us to relive the journey with the entire family while revealing his raw emotions and sheer excitement. I have read the book twice and shared it with everyone I come in contact with, this is the start of something amazing for the Juntunen family and I have no doubt that they will continue to empower and inspire.

I have had the privilege of spending my last 3 summers watching Amelec, Espie and Quinn flourish into breathtakingly beautiful children. I cannot say enough amazing things about the Juntunen family and the way they have touched so many lives around them. As a young adult I can only use this positive message, as a springboard into my own future and because of Kathi and Craig I hope to one day be the proud parent of 4 Haitian boys! Thank you Craig, Kathi, Amelec, Espers and Quinny!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lesson in "Never Say Never", July 8, 2009
"Both Ends Burning" reminds us of the lessons life can teach us when we least expect them and in the most unusual ways. This is not your common adoption story in many ways, making their journey even more intriguing and inspiring. Very well-written and enjoyable to read.

I appreciated the humor, the realness of their struggles, and the beauty of the joy and love realized by all involved. A story you don't want to put down because a happiness fills your heart knowing the lives of these children are positively changed forever.

Every child needs a home, and every home is blessed by a child taken in by love. Thankfully the Juntunen family can be an example to others to take the leap of faith in pursuing adoption, making a difference and leaving a wonderful legacy.

Both Ends Burning is not only one of the most inspirational books I've ever read, it is a very important book for our world as it tells the story of the need for us to open our hearts and homes to orphans around the world. Craig Juntunen's book will make you laugh and cry and most certainly not put it down until you're finished. You will feel you know the author, his wife and their 3 amazing children blessed to have them as parents now. This beautiful family will surely capture your heart as it has mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Both Ends Burning: My Story of Adopting Three Children from Haiti (Hardcover)
I read Both Ends Burning in two sittings. The story has all the elements of a great read; funny, sincere and moving. The author personally takes you through his odyssey of finding out sometimes the unexpected in life provides the most fulfillment. I think the best part is that through the Juntunen family sharing their experience and generosity, they are helping to promote international adoption and many, many deserving children.
