The third outing of the Bay Area's own Braxton Brothers is eagerly anticipated and is quite simply an excellent set. The brothers don't necessarily cover any new ground here; quite frankly, they don't need to. Their exciting combination of contemporary jazz with top-notch R&B coloring had me sold by the "Now And Forever" outing a few years back. Most notably is a really nice "Better Than Nothing" with the incomporable Ledisi (another Bay Area artist who demands to be heard and whose second outing is just as eagerly anticipated!) So sit back, put it on and forget about it. There are positively no duds or fillers here and this is further evidence that The Braxton Brothers are not only a force to be reckoned with but are truly legitimate contemporary jazz artists whom we will enjoy for years to come.

This CD is nothing but smooth with a taste of R&B. Listening from both brothers you can see they are growing from they last two releases. From Both Sides you will enjoy there music.

Great Release From This Underated Duo,

These guys are criminally underated, and "The Braxton Brothers" should be a household name by now. Each of their four releases are outstanding, and this one is no different. I just hope they continue recording and find a wider audience for their music as times goes on. They deserve it. This is their 2002 release on Russ Freeman's Peak Records label, and guests include Ledisi and Monet. Many of these tracks contain vocals, more so than other Braxton Brothers' releases, but that doesn't take away from the overall musicianship. I would recommend any of their releases.
