I like to hike a lot and I find these convenient to hold a small water bottle. I clip one to each side of my day pack. I've used them many times and never have had an issue. I suspect like most rubber products, the rubber part may deteriorate if you leave them in the sun for an extended period of time. So far, I've found them very useful and if they do break down, I would buy them again. For less than $7 they work great!

I purchased two pks (2 in each) for a family vacation. The clip broke upon 2nd use and the rubber bottle holder stretched from the weight of the water bottle, which fell to the ground. I've purchased good quality ones before, but these are sad.

Pleasantly surprised when we received the upgraded version of these. Our rings are the thick triangular ones. Also price is great. Locally they are selling for $5.00 each + tax .

Sent these to camp with my scouts and they worked great to hold their water bottles while hiking around the camp, kept their hands free and they did not have to worry about a strap over their shoulder getting in their way.

I've had these before and they work great. However, I order these but they shipped an inferior model. They sent me the kind that have a larger tabbed O ring. These don't work as well because their hole is slightly larger. This causes the water bottle to fall out sometimes. Especially when you run.
I contacted Amazon and they refunded my money and just had me throw the ordered items away. So that was very cool of them.

Pros
- Easy on/off (although you won't want to do this for each use)
- Large carabiner for easy clipping (you may need to clip/unclip frequently to drink)
- Strong attachment to water bottles
- Quality construction
- Fast shipping

Cons
- Overall length not sufficient to drink from while attached to pack (will depend on where you can clip on your pack). I don't fault them on the design though b/c a longer length may make issue two worst.
- Tends to bounce a lot on a pack, had to use one hand to hold down frequently...not a big issue for me as I hike with only one pole; could be a bigger issue if you use two poles.

Conclusion
- Use extensions to make longer to balance ability to drink from and reduce the bounce effect.
- Overall, I would recommend and buy again.

If you need this item, buy it with no regrets. I bought it just for the carribeaner and cut off the other part. Solid product.

Good product. Instead of carrying a bottle in your hand you can conviently put the rubber ring around the bottle top and secure it to a belt loop.

These items work as promised, they safely hold a bottle of water with a strong rubber ring that is attached by strong nylon (denier?) to a carabiner. The rubber ring was tight, but not too tight - I am female with not a lot of upper body strength, and I was able to get the rubber ring on and off different bottles of water without too much trouble. (Remember, you don't want it to be too easy to get off, or your bottle might fall out!). It worked with at least three types of store bought individual use water bottles, and I imagine it would work with most and possibly all of them.

By the way, the Carabiner was a little big for my use (the bottles I used on vacation were large, and hit a little low on my leg, but I was able to easily replace the clip with a smaller carabiner.) I use it while gardening as well. Also, there is a small metal ring attached to the nylon that can be used to hold keys. I attached a compass to my set using the key ring. Recommended, a good deal, arrived quickly!
