I ordered this opener for the fridge in my man cave. It looks terrific and the magnet does the job for sure, but the angle that you must tilt a longneck beer bottle to open - causes the beer to spew out. It makes a mess and I finally gave up on it. The Click N Drink opener worked better for my needs and it was also available on Amazon.

I received this as a gift a few years ago and it has been great - I never need to look for a bottle opener! Some folks have mentioned spills or the bottle opener pulling away from the fridge, but I have not experienced these problems through several years of ownership.

If it had an integrated cap catcher, I would have rated it five stars. To solve the problem, my wife found a magnetic basket locally and we have placed it under the bottle opener. A very good product.

I was a little worried about getting this considering some of the negative reviews, but I love it and haven't had any of the problems reported by others, such as the magnet not holding it securely enough or spilling due to the angle. I positioned it on my fridge directly next to the handle on the freezer door (I have the old school over/under style fridge). As another reviewer mentioned, having something integrated to catch caps would be a nice touch, but it's really not that big of a deal to just catch it afterwards. The main reason I got this was so I wouldn't have to go fishing around for my bottle opener in the utensil drawer every time I want a beer, and this works perfectly for that purpose. I realize that makes me sound pretty lazy, but whatever... Don't judge me -- you don't know what I've been through!

A side note: I bought mine directly through Amazon, so I can't speak to the quality of those sold by third party vendors. One reviewer said that he/she might've received a cheap knock off from a third party vendor, but the one I received from Amazon seems to be legit, and I've been very satisfied with it.

The metal part is too heavy for the magnet. It would not even stay on the fridge-- even when I was not trying to open a bottle. When I returned the item, the seller only refunded half of what I paid after their expenses. So with the cost of shipping my return, I lost more than $10 just for trying this item.

Don't buy this opener!! I Thought I would give this bottle opener a chance because some people really seemed to like it. I should have listened to the people who hated it. We have another fridge bottle opener that we bought from Solutions a few years ago that works great. I wanted to get another for my husbands beer fridge in the garage, but couldn't find that one. I got this instead. You have to put the beer bottle in at such an angle that it's close to horizontal so beer goes up too high into the neck and spills beer out almost every time you pop one open. Nothing more annoying that reckless beer spillage. I am returning it. SuckUK SUCKS!!
