Well, my Christmas shopping is done. My wife and I only give presents to children, and I can't find a better gift than this CD. "Book of Dreams," "One Wish" and the title cut make me tear up. "Boom Boom," "Space Song," and "ABC of Me" are nothing but sheer fun. Especially the lyric, "X is for excited, I wish I could spell." Lisa's beautiful voice and Mikel's sweet aocustic guitar work only offer the promise that their third disc will continue this evolution in sophisticated children's music. And that's what it is. Milkshake doesn't play down to kids. It's stimulating, asks for participation and encourages imagination. "Happy Songs" was great. This disc is even better.

Not only do my kids love the music, but I do too!! We've seen them live and they're awesome. Lisa has so much energy and dances around in her "tutu" and those "crazy tights" and Mikel is so awesome with the kids. They are talented musicians who make kids music fun for everyone. Watch them on Noggin - Jack's Music Show. The videos are lively and fun! I hope they'll make a DVD of the videos, including the one's on their web site.

I am twelve and my 6 year old sister and I love all the songs on this cd. So do my mom and dad and our babysitter. We listened to this cd on our vacation, over and over and over, and we never got tired of it.

Lisa and Mikel's are not only one of the most talented children music songwriters, but their live performances are thrilling. They are warm and fun, get the kids moving, dancing and singing, and in the process are giving them some valuable messages (the value of sign language, having fun at school, enjoying life!). My 2 and 4-year olds were singing several of their songs after being at a live concert in DC. We bought the CD's and now they dance, sing, and request them... " Jump " and "Blast off" are two of the favories, as is LALALA, DADADA, HEYHEYHEY, HAHAHA!!!

I strongly recommend the CDs and, if you can, having them come to perform at your kids' school or birthday party.

We gave our 6 year old daughter the Bottle of Sunshine CD for Christmas and it was a big hit. I was amazed when she started singing along with the song Milkshake! during the first listen. Milkshake! is her favorite song now; she loves joining in on the chorus. The first Milkshake CD, Happy Songs, is one of our all-time favorites and it looks like Bottle of Sunshine will get lots of play too.

This is such an awesome follow up to Milkshake's first CD "Happy Songs." Kids will love "Bottle of Sunshine" for the fun lyrics and catchy tunes while adults will appreciate it for the sophisticated folk-rock sound. We'll play the CD while cooking or doing chores and our 3-year old daughter will go crazy dancing and singing along. The funny thing is, the lyrics aren't the typical, overly simplified kids lyrics and she STILL sings along. My husband and I will even sing along with her. All the songs are great. Our daughter's favorites are "Milkshake Rock & Roll" and "Woo woo". Mine is "Book of Dreams"--it's a beautiful song.

From preschoolers to first graders, "Bottle Of Sunshine" will prove a 'kid friendly' favorite with its toe-tapping tunes, hand-clapping rhythms, and sing-along lyrics flawlessly delivered by Milkshake (singer Lisa Mathews and guitarist Mikel Ghel) with their usual flair and easy expertise. The fifteen superbly presented and impressively recorded pieces comprising this outstanding and highly recommended CD album for children include: Bluebird; School; Woo-Woo; Milkshake!; Boom, Boom; ABC of Me; Space Song; Book of Dreams; Jump; Smile; Ms. R&R; Rainy Day; One Wish; Sleepytown; and the title piece, Bottle of Sunshine. This is a wonderfully entertaining and sure to be kid-pleasing addition to any family, preschool, daycare center, elementary school, or community library CD music collection for children. Also highly recommended is Milkshake's other kid's CD, "Play!" which features songs about kids having fun playing baseball, bowling, pretending, playing music, having parades, planting a garden, and more!

This CD is the antidote for all of the mass-marketed, over-merchandised ear candy that kids are being fed today. Milkshake is composed of real musicians (very talented ones, I might add) who are having genuine fun, love what they do, and it shows. The music is not only appropriate for kids, but they love it, and what's more, it's good quality music that even us parents will enjoy listening to. There are silly songs, there are happy songs (even though that's the name of their other album, there are happy songs on this CD too) and there are just plain great songs that everyone will love. My daughter has every Wiggles album and movie and toy on the planet, but both of us would much rather listen to Milkshake. Bravo Milkshake!! Keep up the great work!!

My 3 1/2 year old LOVED Happy Songs and couldn't wait to listen to the new Milkshake CD Bottle of Sunshine. He already is singing along to ABC of Me and Boom Boom - two of our favorites! If you are a parent and have ever dreaded a long car ride with repetitive children's CDs - Milkshake is the answer -this rock/folksy style is great for kids AND parents! You'll find yourself singing along with your child! :)

I received this highly recommended CD from a co-worker with the intent of eventually introducing it to my kids on a car ride. My wife usually drives the kids around and it completely slipped my mind to give it to her. Lucky thing for me I still had it with me!

Last night I picked up my kids from day care and the first 10 minutes of the ride were pretty mellow. Being tired and hungry, my two year old starts whaling in the back seat - and she won't stop...no matter what I say...or do. How does a father appease a distraught two year old from the driver's seat? Then it hits me...I've got music!! I pop in the CD and like a switch had been flipped, my two year old stops crying instantly!

We listened to the "birdie" song (Bluebird - track #2) about a dozen times and made our way through the various other tunes on the disc with great enthusiasm from the back seat. My four year old was singing and humming the melodies by the second verse. This is sure to be a listening staple for our family car rides. I highly recommend it!
