Don't expect results right away. Cosamine DS is designed for folks like me who have begun to suffer from arthritic pain. I've been taking two Cosamines a day for five years and the pains in my lower back have reduced and seem to have arrested further deterioration. Accompanied by exercise, Cosamine is helping me grow old with less pain.

I purchased this medication for my father. He has recently been taken off of all his antiinflammatories due to an ulcer and has begun having joint pain everywhere. I know that this is the only Glucosamine product that has been studied and shown to be effective for joint cartilage regeneration in arthritic patients. Being a medical professional, it is the only one I recommend. It takes some time after beginning this medication, and you MUST take it every day, so I have only seen moderate benefit in my dad's pain. Just FYI, I also recommended this for my brother and sister-in-law's lab. After a month, the dog's arthritis appeared to almost be gone. I hope to have the same affect on dad.

About three and a half years ago I significantly increased my weekly running from about 9 miles to 25 miles. I immediately felt it in my knees. I read about this product and ordered it. I have been taking it every day together with an MSM supplement, and stopped having pain in my knees about a month after I started taking it. Based on my research, this was the most effective supplement, and for me it worked.

I take three capsules a day (as opposed to the maintenance dose of two) and have run literally several thousand miles since I started using it.

Important: Shop for price. There are web sites that sell 144 capsules in a 2 pack that costs less than buying this product in other quantities.

I did not have any particular faith in glucosamine or glucosamine/chontroitin as beneficial for joint health and joint pain until a friend told me her experience with her knee pain and disablilty that resolved on this product.
Based on this anecdotal story, I decided that I had little to loose investing in a 3 month supply. I have a structurally abnormal right hip (hip dysplasia)and as a result of my years of running and other exercise before my diagnosis of hip dysplasia (in my 50's), I have arthritis in that hip.
It was to the point that sometimes I was limping. I can say that now I don't even notice that there is pain in my hip. I don't even think about it.
Before cosamin DS, I was always aware of my right hip and would take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs when the pain was bad. Now, no analgesics. I will be ordering this product from now on.

Incidentally, they make a veterinary product which my cat is on for his arthritis.

My husband and I have been taking this product for several years. It seems to help joint aches and pains much better than any of the competition!

Cosamin DS was recomended to me several years ago and has proven to help in relieving the symptoms associated with arthritis. There is no more swelling in my joints and flexibility has improved.

This is a product I am familiar with. Fortunately for me I was able to order the same great product at a much lower price than is available in stores.

An othropaedic surgeon recommended this product to us. Amazon.com is the best source for this product. We haven't taken it long enough for a review on the effects but both of us seem to notice an improvement in joint pain.

I am a runner and have suffered from knee pain for years. I wear a patellar strap to relieve the pain when i run, but still have pain somewhat. I started taking CosaminDS after reading other reviews and guess what? My pain is almost gone!! Not only that, my back pain is much improved too. I'd much rather take a natural remedy like this than some Rx meds.
