Once inserted, tissue covers the rounded head, and can be released using a push button on the handle. Includes a carry pouch for travel and storage. This is a personal hygiene product. While under warranty it will be repaired or replaced if defective but may only be returned for credit if returned unused in the original packaging materials. I injured my left rotator cuff and broke my arm in June. Since I am left handed I suddenly found out that my right hand was 3 inches too short to accomplish bathroom duties.. I knew I could just not go to the bathroom until it healed so I tried a shoe horn. swiffer handle and curved stick to no avail. After a few weeks, frustration and humiliation led me to start searching for another answer. That's when I found my Bottom "Butt" Buddy.(my personal name) This product has been my life saver.
On a recent trip to Alaska I could tell that the people operating the airport x-ray machines wanted to ask me what it was but never did. They would study it in my carry on bag. It never was far from me the whole trip since one nevers knows these things. I have shared the info with my
Orthopedist, physical therapy staff and many patients. They have given me permission to put a note about it in their offices. I guess you could say I am impressed. I know I will consider myself healed when I can wipe my "butt" and hook my bra with my left hand again. Until then I will carry my constant companion with me. Thanks

I have two at home. The handle is hard plastic with a sliding switch that opens the blue rubber toilet grabber attached to the end of the stick. I use five toilet paper sheets folded at the crease for each wipe and have to stuff the paper into all three slots without ripping it. Sometimes the paper tears, and I have to start again with fresh paper. Using less paper than five usually results in the tolet paper breaking which exposes the blue rubber to the skin - I think it cleans better than the 'ol left hand and toilet sheet combo and uses less paper doing it. The design is for persons with trouble turning or bending. I suppose it could also be good for a Home Health Aid to use when wiping her client after they had a bowel movement. However, some I am sure would not want this device used because they prefer the personal touch with baby wipes. I suggest you buy one for an obese family member or aged parent. It makes a thoughtful and useful gift.

I injured my shoulder and had to have surgery, the other shoulder was recovering from a surgery the previous year. I was worried about taking care of my hygiene while incapacitated, I saw this device and ordered it. It works great! I found that toilet paper isn't the greatest medium for these but the flushable damp wipes sold in the TP isle is just the thing.
I used it for months and never had a problem with it. If you need that extra reach, try this product!
