I bought this hand held bidet for personal care after surgery. This unit is compact and sturdy. It has a short wand and a three hole spray head. The spray is not very effective at cleaning and it is difficult to direct. I puchased another brand at the same time. It is much larger, and its ergonomics are much better. I used the portable bidet at home and at work. For my use, the gain of small size and portabily associated with the boulder bidet was not offset by the loss in functionality.

Purchased this after buying and using another brand/type of portable bidet. Not much to say but it gets the job done without leaks which is a plus. The other brand I bought which is a different type of portable leaks and can be messy to use. The Boulder Bidet doesn't seem to have that problem so far anyway. It has a longer neck but it's not a major selling point with me. I personally think it's priced way too high for what it is. It probably would be a dollar item if used for any other purpose. I wish I could find it in a dollar store. I guess I would recommend it if there were no other recourse. If I could have found it for less money I wouldn't recommend buying it for this price.

After I gave birth, the hospital gave me a perineal bottle as standard issue. I was fortunate to have not had an episiotomy, but I was pretty sore, anyway, and was grateful to have a gentle, touch-free method of cleansing. Why I didn't keep track of that bottle for "peacetime use" is beyond me. But recently I began thinking about it and wishing I had it for cleansing during my period. While hunting for a new one, I came across the Boulder Bidet, and though it costs a lot more, I was intrigued by the long neck and decided to give it a try. I thought about getting the Blue Bidet, but I was concerned about the valve leaking, so I ordered the Boulder Bidet instead.

Overall, I've been very happy with it. Ironically enough, at the same time I bought this, I decided to try a DivaCup, and since I no longer use pads, I no longer have any need for between-shower rinses during my period. But I did try the bottle a few times, and I was very pleased with how easy it is to use and control. If you have any need for extra cleansing down below for any reason, I think this is a GREAT product for that (far better than a perineal bottle). My only complaint would be that it IS a little expensive, and I wish that either the neck were a little shorter or the bottle a little taller so that when the neck is inverted into the bottle, it would fit completely.

But functionally, the Boulder Bidet is a home run. I wouldn't use it INSTEAD of toilet paper, as the manufacturer suggests, but for extra cleansing, it's literally "spot on."

Have a permanent bidet at home and miss it when I travel. This works well for travel and small so easy to carry. Easy to direct stream and bottle holds a lot and easy to squeeze. Even used on plane. I really like it.

I have no idea why it was so expensive. It will work, camping, etc but why the high price? It's just so-so.

After becoming quite spoiled by my Intelliseat, I really disliked the idea of doing without it while traveling and found this on Amazon. I noted that others have complained about the price for basically a plastic bottle and a tube, but I found the product to function perfectly under all kinds of travel conditions and therefore easily worth the price.

After surgery I needed a way to clean my perineal area without using paper. I was that tender! The portable boulder bidet was the answer to my search on the internet. My return to work was not painful as I could rely on the little bidet in my purse to keep me clean. Now I pack it in my purse or travel bag whenever I leave home!

I cannot believe that this item received 5 stars in ratiings. Also I cannot understand why there is only 2 companies that even manufacture these items. Because of a wrist and shoulder problem I originally purchased one with a blue bottle that worked pretty well except in no time it began to leak from the small silver rivet in the bottom of the bottle. I purchased another one with a different top and this top did not provide the strong stream of water that the original one had so I used the original top on the new bottle. The second one also began to leak after a while. The second one had a bottle that was larger than the original and with that amount of water did the job. I then purchsed this one based on the 5 star ratings. Well the bottle is SMALLER than the other bottles and the stream it provides does NOT do the job cleaning in the back. The plastic is a cheap plastic that you could put shampoo in!

I don't believe that the people that make these items have EVER had to actually use them!!! I have put it in the car in case I need it in the road!

My take is that if you really need it go ahead a purchase it. But don't expect anything from it!

Read the reviews, bought it anyhow. Do not know what people are expecting. It is plastic, not guaranteed for life. If you get a few months out of it that is fine, if you like it, buy it again. Otherwise spend a boatload of money & get a REAL bidet!
I love it, does just what it is supposed to do, where it is supposed to do it! Squeeze gently, let the bottle get some air in it, and you won't have the "sound:".
I have an extremely small bathroom, my feet are almost in the tub when I am on the throne, found it getting harder to clean with no room, this is awesome, does the trick. I am going to enjoy all the toilet paper & wipes I won't have to add to the environment. Yippee.
Try it, you'll like it.
