What's Denise Austin's secret? She's had two children yet flaunts a slim, tight body and flat abdominals that look like they've never been touched by motherhood. "You can reshape your whole body!" she promises in
Bounce Back After Baby, her workout video for getting back into shape after childbearing. The main segment is a 20-minute low-impact, high-energy aerobic workout. Austin exercises with a class of trim women to danceable oldies music such as "Locomotion" and "Rockin' Robin." The aerobic routine is similar to many of Austin's other aerobic tapes: grapevines, lunges, knee lifts, and so on--moves that are dancy without being difficult to learn, repeated often. Toward the end of the aerobic routine, the music may be too fast if you have a large body--take the moves half-time if that's more comfortable. Next a 15-minute toning segment targets the abdominals, hips, thighs, and buttocks with traditional floor-work exercises, no weights. The workout ends with a renewing, peaceful 10 minutes of stretch and relaxation.
