Good for new moms just starting out with an exercise routine,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bounce Back After Baby [VHS] (VHS Tape)
After staying in shape through my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies with Denise's Pregnancy Plus Workout, I tried this video and found it to be too easy and somewhat frustrating. When Denise wasn't making her own mistakes in the routine (typical from what I've seen on some of Denise's other videos) I felt like I wasn't getting much of a workout. During the toning exercises, I even pushed the pause button to get in a few additional reps. The yoga exercises at the end were ok if you're into that kind of thing--I found it completely boring. I did this workout exactly 5 times before putting it on the shelf. When doing this workout, make sure you have plenty of room for some of the aerobic exercises and get a towel (small bath size will do) for some of the toning exercises. This is a good tape for new moms who are just starting out with an exercise program. Some of you "old pro's" may want something a little more challenging.

It Worked For Me,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bounce Back After Baby [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video worked for me! I needed a simple, easy workout because I've never been into exercising before and luckily had a good metabolism. But now that I'm 30 and have 2 kids, exercising has become necessary. I have about 15 workout videos, but I always go back to this one because it's simple and easy, and I like Denise Austin. It feels great to be in shape, and this video will help beginners get on your way to a healthy lifestyle.

NOT for the seasoned exerciser...,
By Kirsten Eyerman (Temecula, CA USA) - See all my reviews

I am a new Mom who has exercised regularly and at times quite vigorously over the years - - I found this video to be basically beginner level. The aerobic portion is way too short at 20 minutes, as is the ab and butt toning portion, where there are way too few reps.

Get this video to BOUNCE BACK!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bounce Back After Baby [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Okay, I have to admit first of all, I did this workout and I've never had a baby. I'm just someone who is trying to get back into shape and I thought this tape would be easy for me to get my stamina back. I was right! This tape is low impact aerobics and fast enough to get the heart pumping that I can actually feel as though tomorrow morning I will feel a pound or two lighter. The movements are easy and Denise Austin as always instructs very well that the transitions, especially in the fast cardio section, are smooth where I don't feel frustrated because she's lost me in between somewhere. This tape is an excellent addition to anyone's workout tape collection no matter if you've had a baby or not.

Way too many reps and Denise Austin is annoying,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bounce Back After Baby [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I found this tape to be good for my very first workout postpartum, but after that it is very annoying. The music is not motivating and Denise Austin makes too many mistakes for a workout instructor. The toning segments are too few to feel like they do any good and the workout consists of what seems like an eternity of the same thing.

Not for me!,
This review is from: Bounce Back After Baby [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As a working mom, my schedule is pretty hectic. So I need a video that gets to the point. I found the aerobic steps complicated and silly - a little too Saturday Night Feverish for me! And Denise is a little too perky for my post-partum mood! I recommend turning the volume down and cranking up some better, livelier music to drown out her dull tunes and "motivational" talk.

I gained 70lbs (!) with my daughter. I was paranoid that my small frame and all 110 lbs of me (at the time) wouldn't be enough. I was also young. After my daughter was born I was still about 40lbs over weight. When she was eight months old I decided to stop breast feeding (she was eating solids anyway) and decided to start working out. Bounce back after baby was the first video I bought- and I loved it! I lost 35lbs in three months and went from a size 12 to a size 5. Every time I feel my pants begin to strain, I pop in the video and work out to my heart's content. The aerobics is amazing for posture and a good rev-up in the morning. I also love the toning part in the video at the end- I do that at night to relax. I recomend this video to all moms- even those who have had cesearian sections!

Denise is a bit annoying ("you're doing great", over and over) and the music is surprisingly unexciting. But, I did break out in a light sweat, and got an excellent stretch, which was what I was after. She explains everything, which is why seasoned veteran excercisers pooh-poohed this video, but for someone who has never done aerobics before or someone who has only done a class or two - its a great starter tape and will get your heart going in only 40 minutes. I don't always have time for a shower so this workout got my heart going without getting extremely sweaty
