Bounce by K.M. Jackson was one of those books that completely took me by surprise. I wasn’t sure what I expected out of the story, the plot summary pretty much sums it up but I will tell you what I was not expecting. Its heart wrenching and inspirational and this story touched me on so many personal levels that it left me dumfounded. It is a genuine real-life portrayal I think every woman should read and Sabrina Jacobs reminded me why I am so proud to be a woman. In all our glory, we truly are the stronger sex and she is no exception! Yes, her resilience is continually tested, but she stays true to herself and even through her toughest moments of trying to figure out who she is in the midst of an identity crisis, she never wavers in her core beliefs and she never cheapens herself. Her emotions are real, raw and honest ranging from depression to anger and written so superbly it is heartfelt. She doesn’t lower herself to any random vengeful acts even though I was personally encouraging her visions to live out Angela Bassett’s role in Waiting to Exhale. That woman became my personal hero when she started a little bonfire with all of her cheating husband’s possessions, but I’m supposed to be above that type of behaviour, right? Someone pass the gasoline…

Sabrina Jacobs is a woman who has her life together. She is happily married (at least on her part) to her college sweetheart, a former NBA player who is a celebrity in his own right with his successful sports talk show.

Good story of finding oneself and facing life problems head on! I like that Sabrina shed the image of what people thought she should be and became the woman that is a role model for her children, a good friend and a faithful sister.

I never really warmed up to Sean. It was just too hard for me to move past his indiscretion. I think had the author offered more insight into what drove Sean to make his life altering decision I might have had more compassion. He came across a bit cold to me.

The story moves at fair pace and the editing is well done. I wanted more character and story development. I wanted to understand what really went wrong. The story kept my interest until the very end as I really wanted to know how it all came together. I was invested in Sabrina and wanted the best for her and her two kids.

I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was my first time reading this author's work; but it will not be my last. Bounce was an emotional journey of a married couple. SPOILERS: Bree and Sean are college sweethearts and have been married for 10 years, with two children. They have a great life, or Bree believes they do. She is a successful business woman, who works out religiously to stay attractive. So, she is devastated when Sean does the unthinkable. He is honest with Bree and assures her that it's over and done with.

Their journey to and fro is extremely difficult at times, and brought out numerous emotions for me. I laughed at Bree' s internal dialogue with herself and the conversations she had with her sister and friends. And the heartache and anguish she felt really touched me and brought tears to my eyes.
What a great read! A story of love-lost and found.

Sabrina and Sean have a real marriage and real problems. The story centers around the question of what to do when a partner cheats. This dilemma is delved into honestly, and it was especially insightful about how kids can get the wrong impression. Throughout the book, Sabrina is at war with herself and this is one of the things that I found most compelling.

I loved Bounce, from start to finish I couldn't put it down. I shared tears and anger with Sabrina over Sean. Changed my mind over and over again how I hoped it would end....in the end I cried tears of happiness. I highly recommend this book it's characters are easy to envision, easy love or hate. It made me wonder what would I do if I was suddenly Sabrina. Another hit by K.M. Jackson ....can't wait for the next book!

Whew! I really, really loved this book. It was so emotional, so realistic that I felt myself going through the ups and downs at the same time as Sabrina. I don't want to give anything away, but I was very glad that Sabrina was able to find her happiness. And that sister of hers was something else. And the little stepford wife ladies in the community, ummmm *eyeroll* hated ALL of them. ALL of them. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this read. It was nice and substantial, flowed well, good editing, and the ending doesn't leave you hanging, which are all things that are key for me in enjoying a book. This one is a home run!

Within the first few chapters I was hooked. I tore through the pages not wanting to stop. My eye-sight gave out and I had to put it down. Darn… sigh.
Sabrina – Beautiful Career Driven Woman on the fast track to partnership as a financial planner. Mother of two. Faithful & loyal wife.
Sean –Handsome as sin. Ex-Pro Ball Player. TV Media Sports figure. Caring, loving Father to Sabrina’s two kiddos. Sabrina’s Cheating Husband.

An established, seemingly solid married couple is torn apart when the Husband comes home with a guilty conscience and confesses that he has had an affair. Perhaps it was true remorse on his part or the threat from his jilted vengeful ‘side piece’ that spurs him to come clean (the reader is left to speculate as the story is told from Sabrina’s P.O.V.) I questioned the decision to write with that approach about infidelity. I thought the husband could offer some depth to this story. But as I read, I realized that this book wasn’t about WHY MEN CHEAT. This is a simple story about coping with a very real issue. One that many women deal with. –Yes You Too-

The transformation that Sabrina goes through to keep her sanity and offer her kids some stability in her crumbling facade of perfection is simply heart wrenching.
-She quits her job on the eve of receiving a promotion.
-She fires the nanny to become a stay at home mom.
-She tosses her cheating husband out of the house. Good Riddance. Trust went out the door with him.
-She becomes the stereotypical “Soccer Mom”, “X-Mas Pageant Mom”, “PTA Mom” all in an effort to capture loss time with her kids while chasing her career.
-She even starts a flirtatious relationship with the kid’s handsome French Teacher.
