4.0 out of 5 stars Excuse You?
What the hay? The first dimwitted reviews for this particular album don't even address the album at all! First of all, the other "inspired by" soundtrack, which does contain the songs by Leigh Nash and Beth Orton and the like, is a rather good listen. But this album is also worth buying because of the great score effort put forth by Mychael Danna. The strings,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Beware - Not the Bounce Movie Soundtrack
A word of warning! I just bought this CD, thinking that it was the Bounce Movie Soundtrack featuring the LEIGH NASH song "Need to Be Next To You" that I've been hearing on my local radio station, but it WASN'T.

It was pretty easy for me to get confused since the album artwork of the the soundtrack and the score are nearly identical. I did return the CD and...

It was pretty easy for me to get confused since the album artwork of the the soundtrack and the score are nearly identical. I did return the CD and got the correct Bounce CD that features some of my favorite female singers including Beth Orton, Dido and Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlin. I loved the movie and I'm loving the soundtrack. Check it out.

First of all, the other "inspired by" soundtrack, which does contain the songs by Leigh Nash and Beth Orton and the like, is a rather good listen. But this album is also worth buying because of the great score effort put forth by Mychael Danna. The strings, and use of bansuri, help to provide a sweet, simply, yet soulful musical rendering of the movie. It's great background music for when you need to relax, do some catch-up work, or even an intimate dinner. Whatever your purpose, do listen (and hopefully buy) this CD for its relaxing---and, perhaps, inspirational---nature.

Oh, and the Gwyneth Paltrow rendition of "Cruisin'" is on the DUETS soundtrack, BUDDY!

I was looking for antiques today at the Salvation Army when I found this sound track In a "Old CD Bin" and paid .99 cents for a mint copy. What a deal. If I knew the tracks were this good I would have seen the movie.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Bounce Soundtrack, November 26, 2000
This review is from: Bounce (Score) (Audio CD)
I just saw this movie and immediately rushed out to see if the soundtrack was on sale! The movie is that good! I am a firm believer that a movie is made better by the music. All through the movie you catch just a glimpse of the wonderful songs featured in this CD. You will be surprised by the song "Cruisin" sung by Huey Louis and Gwenyth Paltrow. I didn't know she had that kind of a voice. I urge you to buy this CD if you like music with that soft romantic allure to it.
