4.0 out of 5 stars Summer reading, April 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bouncing Worlds (Paperback)
Bouncing Worlds is being pushed as sci-fi. Although I found it did fall into the genre, mostly it was funny. David Elroy has a great imagaination and an uncanny ability with words. I found the chapters very much like indidividual short stories. You can pick the book up and read almost anyplace. I enjoyed the rich use of alliteration, the rapid-fire back and forth dialogue and the vivid imagry.

I think this would be a wonderful book to read at the beach, at the pool, or in an air conditioned room. it is fantastic easy, enjoyable, summer reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll wish you could be the lead character..., August 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bouncing Worlds (Paperback)
This book is enjoyable reading, both heavy and light at the same time. Light in that it's filled with short episodes that are easy and enjoyable to get through, yet each episode depicts an either philosophically or humorously engaging situation for its protagonist, the earnest traveller of time and space Johnny. Conciously, one reads this book for the fun of it. Subconsciously, the reader's mind is being expanded with every page!

5.0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter for adults, July 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bouncing Worlds (Paperback)
Bouncing Worlds is fun. Johnny 'bounces' from adventure to adventure, from one seemingly impossible situation to another. The plots are most interesting, the reading fast and very enjoyable. Each scenario is unique yet there is a thread that keeps it all together.

Bouncing Worlds is a very pleasant, INTELLIGENT read.
