About the Author

Mari Mancusi used to wish she could become a vampire back in high school. But she ended up in another blood sucking  profession—journalism—instead. Today she works as a television news producer for the NBC station in Boston and has won two Emmys for her work. As if writing and TV producing weren't enough to keep her busy, Mari also enjoys snowboarding, clubbing, shopping, 80s music, and her favorite guilty pleasure—video games. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and two dogs.

More About the Author

Mari Mancusi always wanted a dragon as a pet. Unfortunately the fire insurance premiums proved a bit too large and her house a bit too small--so she chose to write about them instead. Today she works as an award-winning young adult author and freelance television producer, for which she has won two Emmys. When not writing about fanciful creatures of myth and legend, Mari enjoys goth clubbing, cosplay, watching cheesy (and scary) horror movies, and her favorite guilty pleasure--playing videogames. A graduate of Boston University, she lives in Austin, Texas with her husband Jacob, daughter Avalon, and their dog Mesquite.

This book was an amazing book, i couldnt put it down after i began. I highly recommend you read this series because you will really enjoy it!

I do have a quick question realted to the story though, what happened to Corbin? He swore revenge in the ending of the last book and escaped, then he never showed again, and i wondered what had happened?

This book will hook you from the first sentence and I was glued to the book since I picked it up. It is highly suggested by me that anyone from the age 10+ read this series. Mari Mancusi has done it (successfully) again in creating another book for her addicting (if I must say) series. I don't wish to be a spoiler but I cried so hard I could no longer see the words on the pages no matter how hard I tried. I rate this book with 5 stars--no regrets!!!(Unlike I would have any doubt). And so I wrap up my review with a round of applause for Mari and the Blood Coven because, in one word I can describe it (understating though) AMAZING. I HIGHLY suggest that you read this book.

Soul Bound by Mari Mancusi was another great installment in the Blood Coven series! Intense and fast paced, this was a book was kept me up late into the night reading.

I loved the plot of this one. While a bit of the beginning got a bit too angsty for me, the rest of the book was marvelous. Mari Mancusi`s path to the underworld and actually her underworld herself were so unique - Mari Mancusi has taken a lot of liberties with the typical mythology to craft this neat, really cool version of Hell.

The ending is Soul Bound is an absolute killer! I am counting down the days until Blood Forever is released as I am desperate to see what is going to happen next!

Rayne is a character who really had grown on me throughout this series. In the first few books I can barely stand her and now she is one of my favorite characters of the book. She is SO funny - the pages are just dripping with humor.

Soul Bound was probably my favorite book in the series yet. Each book just gets better and bet, and Soul Bound was an awesome read. I love it and here begins my count down til Blood Forever`s release.

If one just cursorily glanced at one of Mari's Blood Coven books they would probably think it another insipid human/vampire love story containing characters with horrible names, filled to the brim with clichés and has ultimately run on far longer than what it should have. They would probably think the plots absolutely ridiculous, the characters overtly emo and the books trying far too hard for their own good.

Those people, I'd say, couldn't read their way out of a paper bag.

No, Mari's Blood Coven series isn't something more than what's already out there. It isn't better than all of its like-minded brethren. It's a SATIRE. This series is ripping into the over-bloated anus of its vampire siblings that, unlike it, take themselves far too seriously. Mari has taken every popular element in YA vampire fiction (and beyond) and blown it so far out of control that it is incredibly ridiculous. You know it, she knows it, the characters know it. And that's why it's so incredibly phenomenal. It rips on itself from the names of the characters (Sunny and Rayne, really?) to the overtly emo, safe and PC vampires to the polar opposite siblings and so much more. It's all there, exaggerated to the extreme and it makes this series all the better.

SOUL BOUND, book number seven in the Blood Coven vampires series, takes Sunny and Rayne on another cross-country trip because Sunny and her vampire boyfriend Magnus had to flee. Unfortunately for Rayne, she's been contracted by Slayer, Inc. to lock down her sister and boyfriend-in-law and bring them in for a Big Bad hell-bent on world domination.

In this book of the Blood Coven Vampires, Mari Mancusi takes us again in a wild ride with Rayne McDonald in her quest to save her sister Sunshine from Pyrus the Vampire Consortium leader and when that fails to the underworld where she has to keep herself out of trouble first to help Sunny. She has to make insane out of the blue and short time decisions that will change both Sunny and Rayne's lives.

I like this story as it is always crazy with this twin sisters. I know that it is part of the person he is but I found Jareth a bit on the well "girly" side. Everything was about him and to hell with others. I just don't like that personality.

Overall the book was good, entertaining and with lots of action.
