Totally refreshing and different. Vampires, time travel and adventure. This one focuses on the hero and heroine, so its not your typical PNR that is packed with action and slim with the h/h. This is a romance story between a prince vampire and a mortal woman, it takes you through them getting together and her finding out what he is then it takes a turn and goes back in time to the Tudor era for a period of time. During this time things didn't go as planned and Laurel has to find a way to get them back on her own.

The romance between Sebastian and Lauren is a emotional rollercoaster. Sebastian is great to Lauren even when they just start out seeing each other he takes Lauren to New York and spends a small fortune on her. The sex between them is nice it takes a while and its slim, but what's there is very tasteful. I found I like the story more after they came back from the past, things seem to fall into place. I feel this is a good book for anyone to try, its one that you can set down and leave and come back and pick it up late.

I had a problem with the romance between the h/h at times, it just didn't seem believable, but again this is fiction things are not going to be cut and dried like I want. So if you feel the same as your read just remember is fiction and then as you get to the end and think about it a few days or you may get it when you read it, these two feel in place because they already new each other, you say how? Well you have to read and find out how.

Paranormal romance is my favorite genre, along with time travel, and this book combines both. The problem I have with many currently popular paranormal romance series books is that the emphasis seems more on what is going on around the main characters than the characters and their relationship. In other reviews, I've talked about the expectations readers have when they pick up books in various genres. When I pick up a romance book, I expect the romance to be the main focus of the book. Sub-plots are icing on the cake, but should add to and not detract from the central theme: romance. These authors managed to keep the focus where it belonged, and I think the result is a rich love story. Worth the time to read, and is bargain priced.

Yeah, there's time travel, but it doesn't really change up the genre plot much. The time travel angle is just not up to snuff as far as mking this book stand out from the three million other books with this plot line out there.

*slight spoiler*
For instance, the heroine goes back in time, but she makes no effort to fit in, and she's covered for by a native of that time, for no particular reason. There's no real relationship there at all, this secondary character just goes around lying for her for a couple of weeks.

As for the relationship, it's the typical millennium old vampire falls for mortal for no particular reason, she does stupid stuff that messes up his business, he fixes it for her and loves her forever. There's just not a lot of juice left in this plot line for me, there has to be something extra there, and there just isn't in this book.

i havent thought enough of any other book to even consider writing a review until i met sebastian. from the beginning i thought he was what a vampire should be instead of a bedazzled fairy like edward cullen. his power and control is almost tangible and as strange as it sounds i was even slightly jealous of his attraction to laurel. i had a list of questions while reading this story but it never hindered my ability to do so and when i did get my answers, my reaction was usually vocal. the ending of this book just threw me for a loop and at the same time completely explained the intensity of their relationship from the beginning. in one word..............WOW!

A quick fun read about true love being reborn. Vampires, time-travel, and elegant romance. It kept me entertained, and I read it straight through on a rainy Saturday.

I guess i'm just not that into it. This book felt really long to me. I skimmed over much of the middle part that dealt with our perky heroine doing stupid stuff in the middle ages. The authors also had a predilection for ending sentences with prepositions. Why oh why do i keep falling for these free books?

When I first started reading Bound by Blood I thought it was just another girl (Laurel) meets boy (Sebastian), girl falls for boy, live happily ever after type story. However, after the first few chapters, my opinion changed.

This story developed into a heart warming story of love that spans centuries. That blends fact and fiction during the reign of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn.

Will Sebastian and Laurel get the chance to spend their life together or will their future be irreparably changed forever.

Bound by Blood will have you gasping for breath as you prepare for an ending that promises to keep you spellbound till the very last page.

This book wound up being much more than I expected. I really liked the characters and loved the first half. It threw me off a bit when it got to all of the time travel stuff. I usually stay away from time travel books. There are just too many loop-holes and I'm to analytical to overlook things that don't seem to add up and there were a few of those moments in this story. Overall, the writing was good, the story flowed at a decent rate and held my interest to the end.
