3.0 out of 5 stars Just another book
This book had a few good scenes, but in general, it really didn't ring my bell. I was hoping for more character development and creativity in writing, but it just wasn't there. Not a bad book for a single read, but I will pass it on to someone more vanilla than I.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bound By Fantasy and Desire!!! HOT MUST READ!!!!!!, July 7, 2006
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
I have to tell you about this exciting, sexy hot book I just
finished reading. Have you always been the good girl? You know the best daughter in the family? Have you ever had an urge to be bad? Well let me tell you it is easy to relate with Sasha White's heroine Katie in her new book Bound. Katie - her name even sounds like a good girl. This book is very sexy and hot and is more than just a sexual adventure. There are girlfriends and family involved and even some High Stakes Texas Holdem cards.

Have you grown up in a small town and some days you just wish everybody would mind their own damn business? I remember being asked by relatives if there was a problem between DH and myself because we were married for 10 years and did not have kids until then. NO problem, just a choice we made.

Well Katie has had enough of the small town syndrome. She takes some chances and they pay off big time. Katie knows exactly what she wants and has big goals and dreams and she sets out to accomplish what she wants.

You will LOVE this book. It involves a hot hero - Joe and Joe seems to know exactly what Katie needs, even when Katie does not know what she wants. It is easy to let yourself go and enjoy this book as a fantasy. My goodness, I swear I felt Joe with his hot breath on my neck just below my ear and every lick, every bite and every kiss.

OMG! I am going to try and bribe my DH to read it giving him the
hint, hint.. You know what they say --- you have to tell men exactly what you want in plain words.

Well Sasha has hit the nail on the head with Bound. It will be my annual reread book on my keeper shelf. Do not miss out on such a fantastic story.

BOUND by SASHA WHITE definitely A MUST READ!!!

Enjoy it, I sure did!

4.0 out of 5 stars Explore Bound, March 12, 2007
By
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
Joe and Katie explore their every fantasy wherever they can, starting off at work. This leads them into an intensely sexual and emotional relationship. Kaite is a small town girl, afraid of what others might think which holds her back from fully committing to Joe as all she wants is escape from the strictures of everyone knowing not only your name, but your business. Although you would think Joe, with his harsher life experiences, would shy from a relationship and small town life, he craves the stability a commitment to one woman and one small town will bring him. The sex is incredible, but is it enough to keep Katie in Chadwick with all those prying eyes?

Interestingly, Bound is told from the first person point of view of Katie. Katie will surprise you as she tells of her exploits openly and with few inhibitions as she reaches beyond her boundaries. Jumping from timeframe to timeframe can sometimes confuse, but it doesn't take long to get back in the groove of the action and story. Katie takes a good long look at what she wants be it sex for sex sake or sex with the man she loves. Will she choose to walk on the wild side of the city or the loving, close knit town she grew up in? Which would you choose? Bound will definitely help you answer that question and you will enjoy the journey!

As Sasha always does, she carries you along for a wild ride with rich characters, hot steamy scenes, and a journey that you can return to again and again. Katie and Joe are characters you can relate to and you are drawn into their world. Not to mention the fact that their hot scenes will leave you breathless. I loved BOUND and I can't recommend it highly enough! Two thumbs way, way up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow - So Good!!!!, August 16, 2006
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
This was an AWSOME book. I dont usually like books written in the first person, I dont think they have the same dynamic as third person, I was wrong about this one!!! It is so good. I started reading it at about 8:00 last night and didnt stop till 1:00 this morning and was turning pages like crazy. It was good.
Katie and Joe get you going from the first, she is so not expected and he is so guarded and alone that their story makes total sense. I wish a man would look at me like Joe looks at Katie.
Dont think this is not a romance, there is definatly some romance in it, not the usual kind but you can tell his feeling for her from the start. It made me want to be a part of the story.
Good going to Sasha White. This was the first of her books I have ever read but if the others are anything like this one, I will definatly be adding her to my list!

4.0 out of 5 stars 4 1/2 Stars and Another Winner From Sasha White!, August 11, 2007

Up front - I love Sasha White - both as a person and an author. She's a genuine person, warm, funny, and a great writer.

Bound is my favorite Heat title so far. Sasha writes about D/s in the way I like, in that she gets into the heads of the people involved and because Bound is in first person, it's really intimate that way.

The sex is amazingly well written and scorching hot. It's not for the faint hearted, Joe is a dom and there are some terms that I personally wouldn't want to hear from my partner but it's totally clear it works for Katie and it's not abusive. White walks a fine line but she does it extremely well.

I highly recommend Bound and I can't wait to crack open Trouble - which taunts me from my TBR pile!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It, December 16, 2006
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
This is one hot story with a great mystery wound in. Katie tells her own story in first-person and Sasha does a great job keeping you in her head...and her bed. Very hot, very good. You'll love it--I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars starts off equatorial hot and gets hotter, July 5, 2006
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
In Chadwick everyone who knows Katie Long wants the good girl to find a happily ever after Prince Charming. The likable young woman agrees that she needs to find Mr. Right, but also romanticizes that her fantasy lover will bring much more than being a nice guy to the bedroom. She has dreams that would shock those who consider her the pure "Golden Girl"; dreams that BOUND her to her dark desires.

Town newcomer casino security guard Joe Carson wants to be that man as he sees something passionate in Katie's eyes. They are BOUND to one another as they play sexual bondage games of master and slave lovemaking as he knows what she loves in the dark. However, both knows what they do in the bedroom heats up the sheets in answer to their most desirable fantasy, but outside the boudoir there must be more if they are the right pairing as their family, friends, and neighbors insist they are.

BOUND starts off equatorial hot and then turns up the heat as fans of erotic romances will appreciate the torrid encounters between the Golden Girl and the security guard in the dark. The lead couple is compatible in bed as their S&M tastes blend quite well together. However, both are also wise to know that accompanied by love is not enough as they must prove companionable in the light. Not for everyone, sub-genre fans will appreciate this sheet burner.

5.0 out of 5 stars exceptional, December 1, 2008
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
Wow. What to say about this book? I was expecting steam. Heck, just look at the cover, and you know there aren't going to be fade-to-black or closed-door sex scenes, and you can pretty much gather that said sex scenes won't be same-old, same-old either.

What you might not expect, particularly if, like me, you're new to this author, are realistic characters and emotional depth, but they're there.

Katie Long is a good girl with the soul of a bad girl. She's working in a casino in a small town, where everyone knows her, and she feels trapped. Her overriding goal in life is to save up enough money to escape to the city where she can finally be herself.

Meanwhile, she has her eye on the sexy new security guard at the casino: Joe Carson. In a fit of daring, she gives him a show on the security monitor, and starts an intense, exciting, D/s sexual relationship with him.

At least it starts out as just sex, until they both find themselves falling in love, and their emotional goals and their practical goals start to collide.

Bound does a lovely job of portraying Katie, and showing how a person can be sexually submissive without being weak or ineffectual outside the bedroom--or even inside it. It also does a lovely job of showing Katie's character change--the traditional but no less true plot of discovering what you really want.

The ending is very satisfying. No giving up of one's goals for a new sexual relationship, no inexplicable and convenient character changes. I was happy for Katie and the end, and confident that she'd be happy too.

I'll definitely be looking for more books by Sasha White.

OK. Let me start by saying this book takes off from the very first page.
As soon as I read the first page I didn't want to put it down. It is very graphic, so if you don't like a lot of sexual detail this book is deffinatly not for you. I like books that make you feel like your the one that this is happening to and by god this book does it. Very sexual, and very good. I highly recommend this book. I love it. and I only paid like 5 dollars for my copy and I would have paid 20. I love it that much. It was hard to put it down. But I savor the book by making myself only read one or two chapters a night before bed. This book will get your imagination going.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, a Quick read. Naughty but not Gross, March 7, 2010
This review is from: Bound (Paperback)
I just finished this book.
It's really fun. It's a story about a girl who lives in a small town and wants to get onto to bigger, better things, in a big city. Sound familiar? Well in the small town she meets a guy, Joe, who fulfills her every sexual fantasy and more (of course, it's an erotic novel, hello!). Then comes the conflict btwn staying in the small town with her fantastic lover, or move out??
Based on the title "Bound" I was expecting more naughtiness and S&M. The author kept it on the light side. The main character was more Bound in her mind, not so much physically.
A FUN , QUICK read. Naughty but not evil or gross. I Liked it :-)
