What a wonderful book Ms Crosby has given us to read.The 3rd in the Millionaire of The Month series. What an interesting storyline and 6 hunks and the great heroines these hunks fall for.

Conservative Banker Devlin Campbell is in Atlantic City to try and forget the letter from the California law firm -- his promise of 10 years ago that he has to honor. He saw a woman he wants to meet and got her to come stand at his shoulder, he started to win and named her Ms Fortune. The book starts as a one-night stand.

Ms Fortune happens to be Nicole Price, an employee of the casino's hotel, but she isn't working that night. Devlin has been back to the casino a couple of times looking for her. Now here he is in Lake Tahoe, CA 4 months later and finds Nicole working at the casino's hotel and pregnant. Like all one-night stands not much personal information was exchanged not even last names.

Devlin is in Tahoe so keep his promise to a dead friend that at the end of 10 years after college graduation he will take 1 month to look at himself and his life and the plan for the future.

Nicole got a transfer to Lake Tahoe to be close to her family in Sacramento, CA. She can't believe Devlin is here. What does she do now? She admits to him that baby is his but of course he wants a little more information from her.

Ms Crosby has created great characters and this is their love story!

This is the third book in the millionaire of the month series. Dev was at a casino gambling in Atlantic city when he spotted Nicole. He was immediately attracted to her, because of her looks and a certain sadness she carried in her eyes. Nicole was his lucky charm and he won a ton of money because of her. They part ways only to reconnect in the elevator. He invites her up and she agrees. They were both "depressed" that day and found comfort in each other. After a night of amazing sex, they don't see each other or know anything about each other. Dev tries to find Nicole, he finds it fascinating that he wants to see her again, given he only dates a woman once. He doesn't see her again.

Three months later, Dev finds himself in a casino by Lake Tahoe. He had come to Tahoe to fulfill his dead's friends wish to live at a house by the lake so he can reflect on his life. To his surprise, he recognizes Nicole as a hotel employee and immediately seeks her. He soon realizes she is pregnant and that he is the father. Nicole didn't expect to see Dev so soon, she was not ready to tell him about her pregnancy. Dev, being raised the old fashioned way, believed his duty to wed her because he didn't want his child to be born out of wedlock and it was the right thing to do. Nicole didn't believe in a loveless marriage. Dev tried to do everything he possibly could to convince her and she agrees to live with him at the house to get to know each other. Soon, differences arise that make their union even more impossible.

This story was heart-warming and sweet. Predicatable, yes, but it was still a well written story full of romance. Looking forward to the 4th installment of the series.
