Book Description

Jake Forrester, a controlled, self-reliant security expert scarred by his father's murder is pursuing his goal of an independent life, relying on himself and logic, until he's forced to accept the help of an impulsive, spirited goldsmith who follows her instincts, wherever they may lead.
When Tempest MacKenzie witnesses a gorgeous stranger being bundled into a van, she tries to help him, but becomes tangled in a complex web of intrigue. Tempest finds stubborn Jake attractive, compelling and infuriating, his logic the complete antithesis of her reliance on her instincts. And Jake is fascinated and attracted to the feisty redhead.
As they spend time together trying to thwart a heist at the British Museum, the attraction between them flares out of control. The thief has a grudge against Jake, and danger stalks their every move. Will Jake learn to trust Tempest's intuition, before it's too late?

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great little summer fling! April 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Oh la-la. What a steamy, dreamy, thrill ride. A romance, rated on the 'softer' side (meaning the details of the encounters between the main characters are juicy but not overly detailed ie erotica. Yes, I need to clarify--not everyone reads according to how many roses or hot peppers or whatever ratings the publisher uses). Well, it sure got my juices flowing. It. Was. Hot.
I enjoyed it. It was fun. It was hot. It made me want to build a fire with my husband or jet of to Paris. There was a turn or two that wasn't over the top obvious to me, which earns the book bonus points. I hate knowing every twist and turn from page one. I did find the beginning (which is supposed to be the big draw you in part) a little too cheesy. Jake & Tempest feel a connection that is so overpowering. I would have liked a little more conflict in the beginning working towards the intensity as opposed to instant attraction followed by questioning.
Overall, it was very well written story. Kudos Ms. Clements, very nice work!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bound to Love May 12, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
You take a beautiful jewelry designer and a gorgeous owner of a security company, mix them together with kidnapping, betrayal, and a planned jewel heist and what do you get? Bound to Love, by Sally Clements.

Tempest MacKenzie, jewelry designer, witnesses a stranger being forced into a van and she leaps into action - literally. Her attempts to foil the kidnapping only result in her being taken as well. Jake Forrester is not so impulsive and can't believe this woman he doesn't know was so willing to help him. They find out there is a plan to steal jewelry from the British Museum, where he put in the security system, and Jake and Tempest set out to stop it.

This book was a fun read. There was the spark of romance between people of two opposite temperaments who have to learn to see the other's point of view. Tempest and Jake both have issues from the past they have to tangle with in order to open up to each other and have a healthy relationship. Sally Clements does a good job of fleshing out the characters so they read as real people with whom you can relate.

There was no mystery here, you find out who the bad guy is early on in the book. The interesting part is learning how they go about stopping him. I'm not sure everything was plausible from a real life setting, but the book was enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable with light suspense March 11, 2012
By Cici
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book started out with a lot of action, mystery, and the stereotypical beautiful people instant over-the-top romance. But then the action slowed, and as other reviews have noted, the 'culprit' was disclosed early on. So there was no mystery left, and very little suspense. But it still was written well enough that I wanted to keep on reading to the end, to the anticipated outcome. The only disappointment was that it seems the author ran out of descriptive prose towards the end, and the final action scenes were briefly described and lacking the details we read in the beginning.

However, I did enjoy reading this book, and would read more from this author

2.0 out of 5 stars Time waster
This book was ok. It was a good waste of time. The plot line read like a cheesy lifetime movie. And the main character was not to my liking, she was unbelievable.
