Jef's DVD helps explain why boundaries are important for all healthy relationships. I used this information to explain boundaries to my 5 year old and 9 year old children. My kids now understand this concept better than most adults and now are learning to establish boundaries confidently and correctly with each other and their peers. This is not a tape for children, but using it allowed me to teach my kids something I learned very late in life. Lack of boundaries or unrealistic expectations are the cornerstone of failed relatinships. Learning and applying this concept may transform yours.

After having seen several videos from Jef, this is by far my favorite! I have struggled my entire life to please others due to my own self esteem issues. This video has allowed me to recognize where I have not set boundries in the past but how to create them in the future. It has also allowed me the springboard to have these conversations with my pre teen children in order to help prevent this history of repeating with them. As to the comment regarding it was boring, I have the video for educational purposes rather the a Friday night comedy!

Having watched this DVD, I wanted to leave a review, in part, to respond to the comment that this video is "boring". The video is not a Disney movie with a moral, nor is it a high budget Hollywood production film of meaningless fluff. What is it, is an amazing amount of insight that can teach anyone how to recognize their own inability to set appropriate limits with people around them. The video will help you see how this has negatively affected your life and will teach you how to begin to feel okay about telling other people "no" without feeling guilty. As a person who thought I had conquered whatever it was that had led me into one unhappy or abusive relationship or another, I was not aware that I still had problems setting boundaries. After watching this DVD, I realized I was just avoiding situations where I might have my boundaries overrun. I have started learning the strength to set appropriate limits and feel good about it. Its like having a personal therapy session that you can replay again whenever you may need it.

This video is like an excellent college lecture and a few individual therapy sessions wrapped up into one. It is full of useful information about boundaries and helpful insight into human behavior.

This tape is now my operations manual. I refer to it frequently. The insight and tools given are priceless. Every person should learn these boundary rules.

I found this DVD to be extremely helpful! I would recomend this DVD to anyone who is suffering from low self esteem and lack of boundaries in their life.

Bought this DVD to be used in our Psych Rehab facility and it put everyone to sleep. I returned it to Amazon at a loss to us because we would never use this DVD again. The presenter stood and talked in a monotone. We turned it off before the program even finished!
