I am the author and this book was written back in the 1980s. A lot has changed since then. If you want instructions for more plants, more in-depth detail, and more information about ornamental plants for the greenhouse please check the copyright 2000 edition of Greenhouse Gardener's Companion.

We're planning on constructing a solar greenhouse in the new house we're building, and this book was very helpful with our learning process on what to put in the greenhouse, how to grow the crops, etc. There are many, many books on this subject, but we wanted something that was based on older knowledge and ideas. We rented this from the library first, to see if it was any good, and purchased it because we felt it was very informative.
