About the Author
Philip Hayward is head of the Department of Contemporary Music Studies at Macquarie University, Sydney and is network coordinator of the Small Island Cultures Research Initiative (SICRI). His previous books include studies of the music cultures of the Whitsunday Islands (Tide Lines) and of Lord Howe Island (Hearing the Call).
