One of my favourites on long drives. This has the right mix of indian classical(hindustani) and the down south-blues styles. They complement each other with surprising fluidity. Perhaps, I expected too much from the acoustics. But, they are refreshingly clear and smooth notes of all the stringed instruments can be *felt* sliding down into your heart. By far, one of the best from guitar-based fusion stuff.

This is truly one of the best 'world' fusions I have ever heard!
One can always wonder how such a mixture is possible: blue grass and hindustani music and it works! I highly recommend this wonderful work.

Bourbon & Rosewater (1995) is perhaps the best Waterlily Acoustics "East meets West" production. On this disc the bourbon is provided by Jerry Douglas on Dobro and Edgar Meyer on Bass. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt provides the rosewater with his Mohan Vina (customized slide guitar). Bourbon and Rosewater opens the disc with intensity and excitement, and this is followed by an entire album of innovative and creative tracks, each of which exemplifies the artistic talents of the musicians. The disc is entirely instrumental. If you liked this production, you should check out A Meeting by the River, which features Ry Cooder on slide guitar.
