I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. I bought these to season my humidor. After seven days the relative humidity had gone from 40% to 44%. I know the instructions say to wait 14 days but a 4% increase in 7 days is pretty slow. I don't think it would ever get to 84%. I bought some distilled water and seasoned it the old fashioned way by wiping it down, leaving the sponge in the box for a day and wetting the humidifier with a 50/50 mix of polypropylene glycol and water. The RH went to 52% before I even closed the box. Next day remove the sponge, wipe it down again with distilled water, wait another day and your ready to add the cigars.

I liked the simplicity of using these for the seasoning process on my humidor. YOu simply oder the proper number of packets, drop them in and wait 14 days. The downside is the 14 day waiting period. For myself it was no problem since I was traveling extensively and could wait, but if you were in a hurry more traditional seasoning methods would have been much more effective and quicker.

The Boveda Seasoning Packets are perfect for easily seasoning your humidor. I have seasoned 3 humidors so far with perfect results. Just make sure you use the correct number for your size humidor. This can easily be found on the Boveda website. I also highly recommend using the Boveda Humidity Packets to keep your humidor at optimum humidity after the seasoning.

Reseasoning my humidor after it sat idle for months. It brought up the humidity quickly and kept it high for the seasoning process. Would buy again.

They are very easy to use. These work really well for my cigars that I get from BNB tobacco, [...]. I have never had any mold, moisture, musty smell or warping since using this product. Amazon does not sell cigars for these but you can visit the website listed, to make your purchase of them. BNB Tobacco has the best prices around for cigars. They have a very good selection and the service is great too. I have always got fast delivery from them also. Their website is very easy to use and it is set up very nice. I always have a wonderful experience every time I shop there.

I used two of these as recommended for seasoning to 84% humidity a 50 cigar humidor and after two weeks with nothing else inside the humidity never got over 73% as measured by two hygrometers.

Stick it in the box and forget it, easy! I used this with success with my 100 count cedar lined humidor and it worked great. Follow the directions (I wiped down the cedar first so it was somewhat pre-soaked) and the seasoning will last you at least a year (maybe more depending on how small the box is and how much you open it). I have since had to re-season my desktop humi twice in two years, which is in the normal range for something I open quite a bit. Keep in mind, the more full the humidor is, the more balanced it will stay, much like your refrigerator.

I got to tell you, I was surprised at the quality of this little packet. I had some cohibas that were drying out and these packets worked absolute wonders. Bringing them back to a moisture level that made those smokes really flavorable. The product is not expensive and does the job intended. I am buying some more for my new box of AVO Robustos.
