3.0 out of 5 stars not super awesome
The Bag is is not terribly well designed for a couple of reasons. the tripod straps don't keep the tripod locked in place and it slides down while your walking. the other flaw is the inside compartment doesn't keep everything from jostling around if it's not full. the flexible straps didn't keep my telephoto lens in place at all and the lens cover subsequently came off...

As a job I travel about filming various abandoned locations (this sounds weird, but it's true).

This bag has been my traveling companion through countless broken windows, up numerous trees, and across many state lines.

It has been inside and throughout abandoned asylums, castles, resorts, factories, homes, and hospitals...

I trust it with keeping a lot of expensive equipment safe and secure, it has yet to fail in it's duties.

Having the side-mounted tripod holder is a wonderful feature, and is the thing that actually sold me on the bag.

This bag is far from huge, but carries all of my equipment without being cramped.

It's smaller size is actually a great advantage when you need to be nimble, or climb up something to get a shot.

This backpack comfortably carries the following for me:

- My D-SLR camera body (in camera armor).

- Two lenses, one of which is a very large wide-angle.

- Two external flashes.

- Two remote flash receivers and a transmitter.

- Two LED flashlights.

- A wired remote trigger.

- 8 AA batteries in a case.

- Three Pentax Li-ion batteries.

- The wall charger for the Pentax batteries.

- My memory cards in their case.

- An entire lens and camera cleaning kit (blower, lens cloths, distilled water).

- My Jeep keys, my wallet, and my cell phone also come along in the side pocket.

- Lastly, on the side of the bag two tripods are secured (one standard size, and a skinny telescoping one for my flashes)

As you can see, this thing has adequate space for most everything you would need to carry on your back.

In fact I could fit more if needed, but I really don't have anything else I need to tote around with me on a daily basis.

My only concern is that the seam on the left shoulder strap is starting to fatigue and some of the stitches are letting loose.

I am partially to blame for this however, since I am not the most gentle person with my bag...

~Rusty

5.0 out of 5 stars Great DSLR Backpack for Great Price, June 4, 2010
This review is from: Bower SCB1350 Digital Pro Series Sling SLR Backpack (Electronics)
I have scoured the Internet for low priced DSLR backpacks. I refuse to pay $79.99 for a backpack like the lowepro. I settled on this bag. This bag is very spacious, has adjustable/customizable velcro pockets inside for camera, lens, and other items, and has sufficient padding to protect everything. It also has an exterior tripod holder (which I have not used yet). Bag quality is good--the materials and zippers are not cheaply made. All in all, for the price you can't beat this backpack.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Amature Backpack!, February 8, 2010
This review is from: Bower SCB1350 Digital Pro Series Sling SLR Backpack (Electronics)
I can use this backpack to carry/store my SLR camera with 3 lens, accessories, and external flash. It's very flexible and well built (and padded) for the price. The only downsides are if you need to take more then one camera or need something that's waterproof/resistant (or can carry a hydro pack) for extreme hiking. Either way, it is an amazing buy and is highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality bag at a bargain price, January 3, 2011

I'll add my two cents - in short, I don't even see how they can make and sell this bag at this price. You can spend as much as you want for a similar camera backpack, but you won't get more bang for your buck. Very nice materials, well constructed, with good protection for your equipment. A few reviewers claim this is a bag for "middle class" photographers. Lol. These are folks who still think that owning recognized brand names makes them better photographers. It doesn't. If you don't need something bigger, and you're not going to be putting a huge amount of weight in it, this is a great bag. I keep my medium format camera, two extra lenses, and general paraphernalia in it, and it fits nicely and is comfortable to wear for many hours. You can't go wrong with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bang for the bucks!!, September 4, 2009

If you are an ameture photographer with one or two extra lens, this backpack is for you.. As of now I have 18-55 kit lens and a Canon EF 28-135mm, and I can store my Canon EOS T1i with 28-135 attached. Alsong with couple of filters, hoods and I can put my Point and Shoot bag and have some more space left for future lens.

The bag construction quality is good, well padded, and re-configurable pads are really good, and stick well.

Overall Best Bang for the Bucks I would say.

Good storage, good cushioning for even the most expensive camera. Canon EOS 50D fits nicely with zoom lens attached. Extra space for another two lenses plus flash. Good value for the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Its just ok, January 7, 2012

This bag is ok for the price. My complaint is the compartments on the inside don't hold their shape. I have a relatively light camera (Nikon D3000) and after wearing this bag for a while walking down the beach, the top compartment where the camera goes has started to collapse down. If you have enough items to keep the bag full then maybe this won't be a problem. It's not a bad bag just know there are better ones out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bower Camera Backpack, November 15, 2011

Amazing SCB1350 Pro Series backpack by Bower in grey and navy blue. Interior dividers are all adjustable by means of velcro.

Enough room inside for a DSLR camera body, three lenses, all with hoods, an 18-50, a 55-80 and

a 75-300 teleploto lens. Plus there is room for two flash guns, one TTL dedicated and the other a slave.(identical in size)

plus a zippered pouch with room for 12 rechargeable AA flash batteries, three lithium camera batteries a lithium charger with AC power cord and still room left over for all of your wrapped lens filters.

Outside left zippered pocket can hold two metal flash brackets and the right side of the backpack secures your aluminium tripod

with an open bottom pocket and upper end velcro strips. Solid rubberized carrying handle and adjustable padded shoulder straps are provided.

Well made rigid shape with strong zippers, it won't sag or collapse, extremely well padded and great value for the money.

Seen them advertized from twice to three times the price in local camera stores. Would replace it with same model if lost.

Tip: Spray the exterior with two thorough coats of "Outdoor Scotchgard" and you are ready to travel in any inclement weather

with your treasured photo equipment...... safe and sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Usable and fair for the price!, June 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bower SCB1350 Digital Pro Series Sling SLR Backpack (Electronics)
This bag is around $20 and it's good quality for the price. It'll fit comfortably on anyone and holds a lot! The only issue I've had is that if it's raining, your bag may get a little damp inside. Not wet! Just damp, like a humid mist. So if shooting in the rain, (I don't mean dewy drops, like real rain) make sure when you get home you wipe down your equipment and let the bag air out. Other than that, I mean come on it's a camera bag for under $20 and it's actually a really good bag. I thought it was completely fair for the price. I am very happy with it.
