3.0 out of 5 stars What you pay is what you get...
I ordered this filter set because I wanted a good and inexpensive CPL; I have not yet used the other two filters in the set (UV and ND). I am fairly inexperienced when it comes to filters in general and this was my first reach into the shelf. I thought it was a good deal given that it had good reviews. It turns out (at least for the single filter I am using) that more...

The ND4 filter is great for "wispy water" shots as well, and the UV filter... well, it's a UV filter. Most cameras already filter out UV light, so it doesn't really have much of a purpose except to protect your lens.

Don't let the low price fool you, these are well made optical filters. I'm glad I purchased them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great package, November 10, 2009

Great kit with 4 basic lenses every photographer should have. I leave my UV filter on permanently and I have added all 3 filters on one lens at once. The Cir Polarizing filter is a little more difficult to remove simply because it has a rotating element but that is how it is designed, it is not a flaw or a negative of this product. The ND4 is a good, basic, middle of the spectrum Neutral Density filter and has allowed for some nice water effects. The piece I think I like most about this kit is the lens cap attachment that I stuck to my stock Canon lens cap. Nothing irritated me more than having to take off and put back on the lens cap ad nauseum after digging it out of my pocket or forgetting that I set it down somewhere. Now I just pop it off, it dangles there and it is readily at hand to put back on.

Overall, excellent build quality, great price and a wise investment for the beginning photog.

5.0 out of 5 stars ND4-CPL-UV Filters, March 28, 2009

The filters are excellent and work well with my Sony DSC-H2. Response is good and my photos turn out better as expected.

Only the carry pouch (which is a nice-to-have) needs to have a different kind of interior surface. The current surface actually leaves red fibers on the filters which are a little irritating to clean every time the filters are taken out of the pouch.

I ordered this filter set because I wanted a good and inexpensive CPL; I have not yet used the other two filters in the set (UV and ND). I am fairly inexperienced when it comes to filters in general and this was my first reach into the shelf. I thought it was a good deal given that it had good reviews. It turns out (at least for the single filter I am using) that more people on this site have been inexperienced as well and perhaps don't even know that yet.

The filter has some positive effect on the picture quality at bight days as expected, however, when using it with my CANON 55-250 glass, I am getting heavily distorted pictures when zooming closer than 135mm. The otherwise perfectly sharp picture of that glass crumbles and turns practically unusable when going beyond 130mm and reaching terrible quality at 250mm. This means, I cannot use the CPL from this packages for that glass. I assume it would perform similar with any other telezoom in that range. Because of this shortcoming, I only give it 3 stars and I ended up operating it on the kit lens (Canon 18-55). I did not pay much, that is true, and now I know why people spend up to 100$ on a good filter. Think about it before you buy yours. Read professional reviews about the subject matter before ordering. Lession learnt!

I'm a beginning photographer so didn't want to spend a lot initially on accessories. These filters were reasonably priced, are easy to install, and will make using the camera a lot more fun. They are good quality lenses and come in a just the right size case that fits in the camera bag. I'm very pleased with the product and the fast service. Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great filters - especially for the price, September 14, 2009

These filters are well-made with a brushed-metal frame and glass filter. All three work beautifully. As one other reviewer said, the rotating ability of the polarizer is a handy feature.

The lens cap stays on well, as long as it's attached properly. It's popped off a few times as I put my camera back in its case, but that's user-error, not a problem with the cap. I mention it only because others might have the same experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enough for learners, November 29, 2010

I bought this pack of lenses a few weeks ago. Let me just explain that I am not even close to a professional photographer. I like to take pictures enough that I took a class and learned about filters there. I am using a Canon Powershot SX20 IS, which is a neat camera, but nothing compared to a SRL.

In any case, I just wanted these filters to improve the quality of my pictures. I have to be honest, I was looking for something cheap that would serve basic functions.

Well, this product does what it says and gives you what you asked for. The 3 filters it provides are basic stuff every photographer in the making needs, and each of them delivers. UV filter does a good job, I havent seen any color change due to its use. ND is good as well, giving you a good filter for light, specially in ultra bright settings. And the polarizer is good as well, it filters what needs to be filtered.

Since I am not a professional, I cant give you exact numbers or specifications. I just can say they are good enough for a beginner, they offer what a basic user needs.

They come in a small pack where you can store them. Each one in a small plastic bag.

The reason for the 4 stars is that it also provides a lens cap. The cord attaches to the cap with an adhesive, which tends to loose adhesiveness over time, which makes losing your cap real common.

Overall: Good for basic use, as a photography student, found to be good tools.
