Bad Resolution, May 12, 2007
This review is from: BOWER 58 TELEPHOTO LENS (Electronics)
The instant I screwed this lens onto my Sony DSC-H2, I lost a ton of resolution. When I zoomed all the way in with the lens on (which wasn't much closer than without), I had no image clarity, even in the center of the image. I tried a tripod and set the timer on my camera, but the image was no better. My friends that I showed the pictures I took with it thought I was using a special-effects lens because they were so unclear. I got much better quality using my built-in optical zoom and digitally zooming closer. I only had to play with it for about ten minutes before I decided to send it back. Sure, it's cheap, but even for the price it's not nearly worth it. I recently got a +10 macro lens from Bower and it works well, so I thought I was safe with buying a telephoto from them as well. I was WRONG.
