5.0 out of 5 stars its great!

1.0 out of 5 stars Resets itself constantly
I loved this when I first got it, and it worked awesome the first two times I used it (when I run). Every run after the second (approximately 7) it reset itself midway through my run. I thought I was doing something wrong, so I decided to not TOUCH the thing one run. All of a sudden, I heard a beep and bingo! It was reset. Needless to say, I returned it.

I am writing a review because I couldn't find one anywhere to help me make a decision. For that reason, I bought mine on another site (www.isokineticsinc.com) because they have a more generous return policy in addition to the free shipping. I am very pleased that the watch is reasonably priced, small, doesn't require a strap, offers so many features (especially the hi/ lo target zones), and was so easy to program, read and use! Can be used to 30m. so I don't mind getting it sweaty or wet. Comes with one year warranty. I just wish it came in more colors, or at least black.

I would like to talk about Amazon's AMAZING service, though. About a month after I'd bought the watch, I sent an email explaining that the watch resets. Amazon immediately issued me return number and sent me a postage paid label. I sent it back and got a full refund. THANK YOU AMAZON!!!!

I only use the heart rate function on the Bowflex Fit Trainer. It works wonderfully, and it's easy to use. Others have had problems with obtaining a heart rate during exercise. The secret, I believe, is to use the flat of your finger (not the tip) and don't press too hard. I like the small band size of this monitor too, because I have slender wrists. This band fits my wrist very well.

I do not use the pedometer function. The instructions are complicated.

Pedometer OK. Just because it says 'small' it still fits comfortably around my wrist. Unfortunatly I was hoping for the HR monitor to be continuous, but you have to keep pressing the button for a HR reading. Calorie count is inaccurate. Disappointed in this product, but too lazy to mail it back--it was cheap. By the way I ordered a new one and I think I got a used one already preprogramed.

4.0 out of 5 stars mixed review, March 24, 2010

Overall, I like this watch, although if I were designing it, I would make some changes. The pedometer stops it's running count if you are still for a certain amount of time ( I cannot determine that point). Also, even though I set it to LOW sensitivity, it will sometimes add up steps while I am driving in my car. I have tried to test it while driving to see what movement it is responding to ( like shifting positions, curves, bumps) but cannot see any discernible cause. Also the night light is too dim to read the watch face. You must remember to RESET the pedometer each day or you'll get a running count. I really only use the watch, pedometer and heart rate features; have not been able to take the time to learn all of the other functions, as they are not too user friendly in terms of instructions. What I like about it is that I no longer have to remember to clip a bulky waistband pedometer to my pants anymore, and this watch, although not exactly dainty, is fairly pleasing aesthetically.

The Bowflex Fit Trainer Plus Heart Rate Monitor and Pedometer Watch seemed like a great idea.

And, it was. However, the pedometer kept stopping. I called the company several times, one call was returned, and I was told that they would get back to me.

They never did. I finally returned it to Amazon.

This step counter and heartbeat monitor works well with one major exception-- it resets the time and date to the package date and must be reset at least once a week. This is very annoying.

I received this Heart Rate/Pedometer that someone have returned back because it has time and some other things set up. I had to struggle with it for a long time to set it up and kept it, but would recommend other people do not waist your money, buy something else that is easier to operate.

During 2 of my first 3 runs with this watch, the watch reset itself without warning. I would look down and the time would be stopped or at zero. No, I had not hit the watch against anything either. Secondly, despite entering a valid stride length, my mileage reading was consistently lower than it should have been when running and higher during walking as compared to both the Garmin (running partners had this) AND Google Maps. Don't waste your money on this product like I did- save up and get a higher-quality watch.
