this is seriously THE best recording ever. i got it the day after it came out. although it has 2/3 of the blink gang, they are, very stedily, climbing to the top of my favorite list. the cd has some rough language, but not much. mark hoppus even does some guest singing in "elevator". i never thought that a band could get better than blink 182, but box car racer is (by a fraction).

... This is the only place to get the clean copy of this great album. The explicit version has only like 5 swears in it anyway. Either way get this album!

boxcar racer.pretty much the next generation of blink.this album is rad if you like blink-182.catchy beats,great musicians,all i can say is,buy it!!you will find the songs stuck in your head forever!!

okay, when i first got this CD, a showed it to my freinds, who are fans of Blink-182. they absolutely hated it. i didn't undersand why, but i figured its just a matter of taste. either way, after a while they warmed up to it, and the same will probably go for you too! i reccomend the songs I feel So, In the End With You, and Letters To God.

I love this cd! its lyrics are meaningful and its beat is catchy! i also like good charlotte and blink 182 so u should check em out too!

1. I Feel So- first hit off of the album, great song. 9/10
2. All Systems Go- similar to blink-182 music, sort of punk-pop type, but still good. 8/10
3. Watch the World- song inspired by the 9/11 attacks, great solo in the middle. 8/10
4. Tiny Voices- one of my personal favorites on the CD, great music and strong vocals; the only part that keeps it from a 10 is the part in the middle with the guys talking to each other. 9.5/10
5. Cat Like Thief- another one of my favorites, Tom is not the only singer but I forget the other guy's name; the two voices sound good togehter. 10/10
6. And I- a pop-punk song that seems more like something that would be written by blink-182, but great nonetheless. 10/10
7. Letters to God- one of the two slow songs on the album, but very meaningful and great overall track. 10/10
8. My First Punk Song- many people like this song, but I personally cannot stand it; only bad song on the album. 1/10
9. Sorrow- I did not really like this song at first, but it grew on me and now I do; great vocals by Tom on this one. 9/10
10. There Is- the other slow song; this song is alos the second hit off of the album and is an amazing song. 10/10
11. End With You- my personal favorite off of the album, great all around track. 12/10
12. Elevator- my second favorite off of the Cd; has guest vocals by Mark form blink-182 on it. 11/10
13. Instrumental- pretty good for an instrumental, but it is still an instrumental. 7/10

Boxcar Racer is one of the best cd's I've ever listened to.

Their music is different and refreshing. Now, I'm not saying it's radically different, but their songs deal with different issues than most other punk-pop and punk-rock bands out there. They have a couple guy/girl songs, but these *sound* so different from other punk songs that it really doesn't matter. Travis is a totally AWESOME drummer, by the way, and he definately demonstrates this in Boxcar Racer.

My favorite songs on the cd are:

Track One: I Feel So
Great song to listen to if you're angry. Trust me, it is. The beginning is a bit odd and almost makes you want to fast forward through it, but the rest of the song completely rocks.

Track Five: Cat-Like-Thief
This song sounds incredible!! Tom has paired is all too familiar voice with a fresh, funky voice from someone that I can't remember the name of. Cat-like-thief may be my absolute favorite song on the whole cd. Listen to it and you'll see why.

Track Ten: There Is
I LOVE this song!! It was the first song that I ever heard by them, and I fell in love with it immediately. The first part is a solomn drum intro, later joined by an accoustic guitar and Tom's vocals. I can't decide between cat-like-thief and there is... but this song is incredible anyway.

Track Twelve: Elevator
I didn't listen to this song for a really long time because it's at the end of the cd and I usually never listen that far back. But as soon as I did, I found Elevator! This song is really, really cool and very unique... it speaks from two different people, and two different points of view from a suicide jump. It's not a depressing song... just different. My favorite line from the song is "I counted people as I neared the streets below."

So there you have it. I urge you to buy the cd!!

Box Car Racer is definitely different from Blink-182. It's more emo and serious, but I really like it. I can totally relate to a bunch of the songs, such as "I Feel So", which describes how anyone feels when they're angry. "Cat Like Thief" may sound weird at first, but after listening to it a few times, you realize that it's a really good song. "Watch The World", "Letters To God", and "There Is" are a few other songs I really like. "My First Punk Song" is probably the only song I don't like.

If you like Blink-182 but want to see a more serious side of them, get this CD!

This is a great CD. It has everything a punk band should have...including 2/3 of Blink 182!!!!!!!!!!! There is is the best song from my point of view and the rest are the 2nd best songs! So if you love blink 182, you'll absolutely love BOX CAR RACER!!! I love this album because it's rock and punk sort of put together. It has a slow melody as well as a fast one.
