4.0 out of 5 stars New Design, No Hinges to Break
Apparently this cover had the hinge system previously, but when I ordered it I could see that there were only corners, no hinges, so I ignored the bad reviews for the hinges. Clearly Boxwave recognized the problem and addressed it. The price was right, it was red and shiny (two things I like) so I ordered. It's a very nice cover, no hinges, holds the Kindle securely,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money
I purchased this item to save money on a Kindle case, I bought the product and after trying to put the Kindle into the slots the case broke. I emailed the company and they sent me another. The same thing happened with this new case even though I MADE SURE to follow the directions perfectly. I am going to attempt to contact the company again. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CASE...

Clearly Boxwave recognized the problem and addressed it. The price was right, it was red and shiny (two things I like) so I ordered. It's a very nice cover, no hinges, holds the Kindle securely, folds all the way back for reading, is well made and looks great. Very nice cover for the price.

After reading the other reviews, I decieded to take a leap of faith in this product seeing as how no other case seemed to go below $45. I am totally happy with my puchase, and as far as inserting my Kindle into it, there was no problem. I didnt even read the instructions and did not have to strech, pull or force the Kindle into it. My only gripe is that the closure is on the back of the kindle, which I would have seen if I paid closer attention to the product pic. Overall, im happy and would recommend the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product apparently has been redesigned, February 2, 2010

This must have been redesigned since the first negative reviews. My wife likes the look of it and the kindle went in extremely easily. For the price this seems to be a good way to go.

I got this because it looked stylish and will match the skin I bought for my new kindle. Unfortunately it broke as I tried to get it off. It clicked in well but damaged my kindle a little as I tried to take it off. I am trying to send it back now and will see how hard a process that is.

I must say, if I was to believe other review I would have taken this cover and thrown right in the trash as soon as it arrived to me. The reason I choose this cover was because of the reasonable price that they posted. However, I was very sad that some customer does not feel the same about me about the this product because I read a lot of negative posting. Well, I followed the instructions and my Kindle fit right a way in the cover, you should not get frustrated if you do not get it right the first time, you have to put a bit of pressure at first, but be careful so you won't break the cover or scratch your kindle.
The cover is durable and very slick I did not think that I would get such a great product for the price I was paying, but it was really a surprise for me.

I do not like this case. It is Red which is pretty but the quality is extremely cheap. It feels like plastic. I suggest the Sierra Elite leather case for less than $25. It's worth it and reasonable. Make sure you get the right case for your Kindles. Not all Kindles are made alike. I had to reorder because my Kindle (the $139 Kindle) is called the Second Generation.

I love this, my kindle fits perfect and I feel like it protects it really well. I just wish that it could fold all the way so the front and back could touch when I'm reading.
