Great workmansip, fits very well,

I perused Amazon.com and saw a lot of plain black leather and foam-looking pouches, so I was really excited when I found the Sienna Leather Elite Case. It is made from this brown leather that has a cool vintage feel to it. I saw a lot of leather cases in the $20-$40 range, so I was a bit hesitant as to how good the quality would be (so cheap for a leather case!) but took a chance with it anyways since it was a great deal. Once I received it, I was really impressed with the workmanship and how well it fit my Kindle device. I have some friends/family that recently purchased the Amazon Kindle, so I'm definitely thinking about stocking up on some of these cases as stocking stuffers and gifts!

Instructions to avoid damage missing, otherwise perfect cover,

I've been the proud owner of this cover for about a week. It offers good protection and is comfortable to hold, it does not add much weight and seemed like the perfect purchase... until today. I had not taken the Kindle out of the cover since I installed it in the cover, but today I took it out to show a visitor. Since I had read about the plastic hinges on the Boxwave covers breaking earlier, I was very careful, but still the top hinge broke.
In other words, if you intend to leave the Kindle in the cover forever this is a low cost very nice cover. If you will sometime remove the Kindle, purchase a more sturdy one. Edit: I asked Boxwave for a replacement, which they were happy to send. I was not asked to send in the damaged cover or pay for shipping. I've also looked more closely at the design of the cover, and found that the fault isn't in the design, but in the missing instructions for use. To remove the Kindle from the cover: 1. Put the cover open on a table. 2. Push the innermost part of the top hinge a few millimeters towards the bottom hinge, depressing some kind of spring. 3. The hook on the top hinge will then be clear of the Kindle, and the Kindle can be removed without damaging the cover. Since this was my only problem with this cover, my rating has changed to 5 stars, but with 3 stars for ease of use.

Waited for my kindle and this casing to arrive with much excitement. Also ordered the silicone skin for extra protection. The casing is solid and works great just as it says, but unfortunately it wouldn't fit if you have the silicone skin on your kindle too. If only there's a little bit more extra space... Although it looks great with the casing, it's hard to type with both hands. The design of the lock follows the original kindle 2 casing, so it's kinda hard to remove your kindle once you've put it on. So, instead I usually use the silicone skin when I'm at home. It's more practical and I can easily type when I'm reading on my bed.
