5.0 out of 5 stars A Book Review from a Spiritridge Third Grader, March 27, 2007
This review is from: The Boxcar Children: Bicycle Mystery #15 (Paperback)
The Boxcar Children: Bicycle Mystery (T.B.C.B.M.)

Author: Gertrude Chandler Warner

Illustrator: David Cunningham

Has a dog ever adopted you? Because that's exactly what happens to the Aldens in T.B.C.B.M. Their bicycle adventure turns into a mysterious dog mystery when a small obedient Skye Terrier finds the Aldens. They name the dog Shadow because the dog follows them everywhere, just like a shadow would. They experience many adventures while they try to find Shadow's owner, including escaping dognappers.

In the book, I like the part when the Aldens & Shadow are in a hotel. At night, Shadow smells smoke and decides to wake up the four children. Then the Aldens woke up the manager and the man put out the fire. That part warmed my heart.

I recommend this book to 8-year-old readers who like dogs and adventures because basically, those are the two main ideas. Read all about it!
