A patriotic pick-me-up, February 24, 2011

Boxcar Willie - the King of the Road - gone but not forgotten! Well, among Willie's great music were a bunch of patriotic songs, and those songs have been gathered together in this album. It's got such standbys as the Battle Hymn Of The Republic and America The Beautiful; Americana songs like North To Alaska, Yankee Doodle and The Battle Of New Orleans; and more politically incorrect songs like Dixie and Old Kentucky Home.
It's a very nice album, with very good songs. Want a patriotic pick-me-up? Get Boxcar Willie Sings the Spirit of America!
