5.0 out of 5 stars A Treasure is Released Again!, December 10, 2008
This book is one of just a few Lewis titles that have ended up out of print...until now! We now have a wonderful collection of stories written by a much younger C.S. Lewis. As a child he kept notebooks in which he wrote and illustrated stories that came from his young and extremely imaginative mind.

This book is presented in three sections: Animal-Land, Boxen, and Encyclopedia Boxoniana. Animal-Land is a collection of plays and short stories. By co-authoring with his brother as a child the second section contains four `novels.'

The third section includes a list of writings pertaining to Boxen, general history, chronology, and geography.

This is a rare treat to have the writings of a well-loved children's author republished and shared again.:)

It is (thank God) no Narnia; but you get to see the genius behind the wardrobe. If you will, the genius in development. You will be shocked (I promise you) how clever those Lewis boys really were.
