About the Author
Brian Johnston was born in Nigeria of Irish parents in 1966. He was educated in Switzerland, and graduated with an honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Edinburgh. He spent two-and-a-half years in China, teaching English as a Foreign Language at Sichuan University in Chengdu, and travelling extensively during his teaching vacations. Brian Johnston now lives in Sydney, where he is a freelance travel writer. 'Boxing with Shadows' is his first book.
