At first I bought the cheaper Vacu Vin Wine Tender, thinking it would suffice and the Boxxle was overpriced. If we're drinking box wine, we're trying to save money, right? Well, I was wrong. The Vacu Vin is too bulky, too hard to operate, and generally looks cheap. If you're trying to class up your boxed wine, you might as well make it actually look nice.

The Boxxle seemed expensive, but it is because it's worth it. I had some design concerns, but they were clearly thought out and avoided by the designers (hence the high price). To use, you click a button, and the lid comes up. Then you push the spring loaded false bottom down (little force, but nothing major), and it holds itself down. Insert the wine bag, close the door, and it dispenses. My concern was that they used a simple release, so that when you close the lid it would slam and puncture the bag. Nope, they thought of this. There's a hydraulic inside that allows the false bottom to slowly lift instead of slamming into the bag. It actually comes very close to getting every drop out due to the slanted shape of the false bottom. The design is also very compact, which is nice if you have a wet bar with cabinets over top. Simply, great engineering and design at work here, and you're paying for quality. It also looks fancy, being stainless, and the black front avoids water stains.

So back to the saving money. You can find perfectly good box wine these days at a considerable savings (glass bottles are very expensive to ship and don't pack well compared to boxes, so it makes sense). I prefer Bota Box (Malbec), but the Target house brand is not bad either.

Worth every penny!!!! This product is exactly what I have been waiting for! I have been a wine drinker most my adult life and have switched to Bag-in-box (BIB)wines over the last several years for their longer shelf life and environmental impact. The Boxxle takes care of all the problems that came with boxed wine. It looks great on the counter top and allows you to pour a glass of wine without hanging a box over the edge of the counter. Now I look forward to serving my dinner guests BIB wine just so I can show off my Boxxle!

A bit pricey, but had to see if it was worth the cost. Well made, solid construction. Must be carefull of the box wine spouts. No 5 liter boxes.. Black Box wines work quit well.

I purchased this for the person, to whom I'm related by marriage. As a box wine drinker, I got tired of watching the box of wine being held over the sink to be poured. The Boxxie is the perfect solution.

It looks great and is solidly made. Loading the wine, was a snap. It pours wine without spilling or splattering. Even when using stemless wine glasses. It also makes using the Rabbit Swish wine aerator, with a box of wine a lot easier.

Many have complained about the price, but you get what you pay for. In this case it's style, quality and function.

This product is amazing!! So much better than using the cardboard box the wine comes in! Not only does it look great, it holds the spigot firmly in place throughout the life of the bag. AND it squeezes out every last drop without manual intervention. If I was wealthy, everyone on my Holiday list would be getting one of these for sure!!!

Honestly, I'm still rather in awe that this thing actually exists.

I'm a pretty avid Black Box drinker, and the black cardboard box has more or less become a part of my decor. Who knew there was a boxed wine DISPENSER in the world? I didn't, until a few weeks ago when I exchanged holiday gifts with a fabulous friend who, if I didn't love him before this gift, I certainly would now.

Tips for use!
1. Spigots on boxed wine (which is actually bagged) rotate. I wish I'd know that before, but I'd never dissected a new box of wine before, so I didn't. I open the box, lay the hilariously naked bag of wine on the counter, grip the spigot tenderly (this is a delicate operation here) as far away from the bag as I can, and rotate the spigot. It took me a couple of tries to find the sweet spot of where to hold on while I'm turning to keep the entire bag from trying to go with it, but it's now second nature.
2. Put the dang wine in there gently, guys. It's a plastic (albeit thick, but it's still plastic!) bag full of liquid. Be nice.
3. Take a moment to arrange the top of the bag before you shut the lid to ensure you aren't going to end up with bag blocking the spigot.
4. Appreciate the fact that it matches your simplehuman trash can, because it does.

The more care you put into putting the bag into the dispenser, the more effectively the Boxxle will squeeze all your wine out. Once it stops running, pop the lid and cut the bag open to get the last ~2 ounces out (this is something I personally already did before I owned the Boxxle, but now I feel a little less classless doing it).
